Then Mrs. Harris said to her husband, “We’ve been to a lot of other people’s houses, and now we must invite them to our house, mustn’t we?”
“Yes, certainly,” answered her husband, “A big party will be the easiest thing, won’t it? Then we can start to invite people to dinner in small numbers next month.”

If you do not use your arm or your legs for some time, they become weak; when you start using them again, they slowly become strong again. Everybody knows that. Yet many people do not seem to know that memory works in the same way. When someone says that he has a good memory, he really means that he keeps his memory in practice by using it. When someone else says that his memory is poor, he really means that he does not give it enough chance to become strong. If a friend says that his arms and legs are weak, we know that it is his own fault(过错). But if he tells us that he has a poor memory, many of us think that his parents are to blame(受责备), and few of us know that it is just his own fault. Have you ever found that some people can’t read or write but usually they have better memories? This is because they cannot read or write and they have to remember things; they cannot write down in a little notebook. They have to remember days, names, songs and stories; so their memory is the whole time being exercised. So if you want to have a good memory, learn from the people: Practice remembering.
29. The main reason for one’s poor memory is that _______.
A. his father or mother may have a poor memory
B. He does not use his name or legs for some time

B. Your memory, like your arms or legs, becomes weak if you
don’t give it enough chance for practice.
C. Some people who can’t read or write usually have better memories, because they have saved much time to remember things
D. A good memory comes from more practice.
31. Which is the best title for this passage?
A. Don’t Stop Using Your Arms Or Legs
B. How To Have a Good Memory
C. Strong Arms And Good Memories
D. Learn From the People

Air travel has three advantage over train travel. First, it can save much time. We can fly from one place to other in a short time, but by train we had to spend more time. Second, air travel is more comfortably because the plane flies so smoothly that we can have a good rest during the trip. Third, the train is crowding sometimes and passengers have to sit for a long time, that makes them tired. But train travel also has it’s own advantages. For an example, traveling by train cost only a little money. Besides this, we can enjoy the view out the windows.

参考范文:
Dear_editor,
Now, more and more students are getting fond of western fast food, and thus they take in too much sugar and fat. I don't think it good for their health.
There are all kinds of foods in the world. Which one is healthier, the Chinese food or the western fast food?
Different people have different choices.
In my opinion, the Chinese food is healthier. Firstly, the Chinese food contains a lot of fruit and green vegetables. It is rich in fiber and low in sugar and fat. Secondly, the Chinese food is very delicious and has many dishes. It is nice to taste. I think it is the healthiest in the world. So many Chinese people can keep fit and have white teeth.
Yours_sincerely,
Li_Hua。
