Good morning, everyone. Today I would like to talk about how to design my teaching plan for the first part of module ____book____. my topic is_____and it consist of___parts.
Part one : analysis of the teaching material
This passage is a reading one ,which mainly talk about _____.and the function of the reading material is to develop students four skills: listening ,speaking ,reading and writing, and it will also be useful to raise their sense of ______.
Part two :analysis of the students
It is vital to know about the conditions of the students in the teaching procedure and designing the teaching plan. Students are sure to know sth about ______from media and their textbooks more or less. Therefore, they will be interested in learning more more about it . as a senior one student, they have the ability to participate in the class activities and cooperate with each other in discussing such topics.
Part three:the key points and difficult points of material
I think the key points are some new words and phrases from the topic and the difficult points are some important grammar points Part four: teaching aims
I will set 3 teaching aims as following:
First, my knowledge goal is to enable Ss to learn the new words
and phrases then my ability goal is to let them know how to deal with information in the passage . At last, my emotion goal is to develop Ss ability of cooperation and competition .
Part five :analysis of teaching methods and teaching aids
I will use task-based teaching method ,audio-visual teaching method ,communicative teaching method to attract Ss attention and arouse their interests in the given topic.
And I will adopt multi-media computer ,a tape recorder ,blackboard and software as my teaching aids to make my class lively and convey more information to Ss.
Part six: analysis of learning methods
One of the concepts of the new curriculum standard is students-orient, it advocated learning by oneself and cooperative learning .in this class , I will have the Ss cooperate with each other to carry out a series of tasks ,of course ,l will give them enough chance to think independently.
Part seven: analysis of the teaching procedure
Step1 lead-in
I will start a free talk with the students (using computer to show some picture of ______ask Ss a question ____)to raise the interest of them to speak English in class.
Then bring in the new subject_____
Step2 listening
I will ask the Ss to listen the tape of the passage with the book closed, then let them get the general idea of the passage.this step is to practice their listening ability.
Step 3:Fast reading
Read the passage as quickly as they can ,then let them get the topic sentences of paragraph.
Through this step I mean to improve Ss reading ability and the ability of summarizing.
Step4:Intensive reading
Read the passage carefully again and do some detailed exercise of the passage on page____exercise ___.
The purpose of this step is to train the Ss further reading ability and the ability of finding out some difficult sentences.
Step5:Language points learning
To smooth away the obstacles in understanding the reading material, I will explain some difficult points,
Step6:Discussion
Divide the class into several groups and discuss the topic :______firstly encourage them to discuss in their groups and then choose one student from each group to present what they have discussed to the whole class.
The purpose of this step is to develop the Ss communicative skills and , it is also an effective way of promoting their sense of team work .
Step7:Homework
Write a summary of the passage . it can develop their writing skills. Part eight: Black board design
A good blackboard design can make Ss get key information about the whole text in the limited time. In this lesson, I will make a design like this
The title of this reading passage is on the top of the blackboard . Divide the blackboard into 2 parts : the left is key points while the right part is the discussion topic.
Part night: Teaching evaluation
Though the teaching activities ,the Ss not only learn some language knowledge ,they can also learn how to cooperate and communicative with others then learn to form the sense of teamwork.
