Are rich kids robbing us
OUR society has rather conflicting feelings about the matter of personal wealth.
Deng Xiaoping told a whole generation of Chinese that it was“glorious to get rich first,”and many of them did just that, becoming millionaires and even billionaires.
Some of them became national heroes with their rags-to-riches story. But we now read stories in the media every day about how some irresponsible upstart breaks the law, hurts other people and almost gets away with it.
Now, it’s reaching a younger generation. A lot of the public’s attention has been on the “second-generation rich”, or children of the wealthy and powerful: rich kids involved in car races on rich streets, drunk-driving deaths, college admission frauds, and all kinds of unflattering news. This is seen as evidence that the injustices of the growing wealth gap will be passed on, and possibly get worse, in future generations.
There are particular worries that the privileges enjoyed by rich kids could deprive young people from ordinary or disadwantaged families of education and employment opportunities.
How do you feel about this? Do you think the “second-generation rich” are robbing people of their right to develop?

College student numbers are not the source of the problem

THE increasing number of college students is in no way to blame for the difficulty college grads face in the job market. China has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and actually it needs growth in the national education level to accompany the economic prosperity. We should view the increasing number of college students as an achievement in assuring citizens’ right to receive a better education.The actual cause of the job-hunting difficulties, in my opinion, is the shrinking job market.
The solution to the problem is increasing the demand instead of shrinking the supply in the job market. Because of the global financial crisis,the government should have more stimulus packages to help the market get through the crisis and new industries to create jobs for the growing number of college grads.
The growth in education will actually help to boost the economy in the long run. More college students means more high-quality laborers. An improved economy will help create more job opportunities for college grads.This is a virtuous circle.
No special classes
“Can we produce scholars?”
SCHOLRS can’t be produced. A scholar, as the name suggests, is a person with wisdom. No doubt, professional knowledge is a must, but it’s not the key factor. Many people possess professional knowledge as professors rather than scholars. One prominent scholar, Ji Xiaolin, is known not only for his academic achievements, but also for his noble personality.
More important, experience is needed to make a scholar. There’s a saying that age is a gift from God. Through age you gain rich life experiences and from experiences you can acquire wisdom.
From my point of view, instead of using elite classes to produce scholars, we should open our educational system more, which means offering more opportunities and approaches to people with real talent.
Professor Qiu Xigui at Fudan Univerity has provided a good example. In the case of Cai Wei,an ordinary high-school grad with a strong interest in classical prose who insisted on educating himself over a 13-year period, Qiu not only helped remove his academic doubts, but also encouraged him to apply to study for a doctor’s degree at Fudan,. Such exceptionalism in academia is well worth promoting.

学院的学生人数不是问题的根源
“限制学生数量?”
大学生越来越多,是在就业市场面临无法责怪困难大学毕业生。

中国拥有增长最快的世界经济体之一,实际上它需要在国家教育水平的增长,伴随经济的繁荣。

我们应该认为这是一个确保公民的权利得到了更好的education.The实际原因的求职困难,我认为,实现大学生越来越多,是就业市场萎缩。

在解决问题的办法是增加而不是缩小了在就业市场供不应求。

由于全球金融危机,政府应该有更多的经济刺激计划,以帮助市场度过危机和新产业,创造了越来越多的大学毕业生的就业机会。

在教育方面的实际增长将帮助提高长期经济。

更多大学生意味着更多的高素质劳动者。

经济环境的改善将有助于创造学院grads.This更多的就业机会是一个良性循环。

无特殊班级
“我们能生产学者?”
SCHOLRS不能生产。

有学者,顾名思义,是一个智慧的人。

毫无疑问,专业知识是必要的,但不是主要因素。

许多人具有专业知识的教授,而不是学者。

一位著名的学者,季晓林,不仅知道他的学术成果,而且对他的崇高人格。

更重要的,经验是必须作出一个学者。

有句话说,年龄是上帝的礼物。

通过年龄你获得丰富的人生经历和经验,您可以学到智慧。

从我的角度来看,而不是使用精英班生产的学者,我们应该开放我们的教育体系更加,这意味着提供更多的机会,并与实际人才的办法。

教授仇西归复旦大学大学学习提供了一个很好的例子。
