China Northern Rolling Stock Changchun Railway V ehicles Co., Ltd (hereinafter called “CRC”), previously called Changchun Car Company and established in 1954 as one of key national projects during “the First Five Y ear Plan”, was refo rmed into a holding company in March 2002. Company has registered capital of RMB 2079 million, out of which 73.85% is held by China Northern Rolling Stock Company Limited. In 2009, company went public along with China Northern Rolling Stock Company Limited.
Currently, CRC has about 13000 employees and a land are of 3.12 million M2. CRC has major business for development, manufacturing and maintenance for high speed EMU, railway cars, urban railway vehicles, maglev vehicles. Currently, company has yearly capacity for 500 railway cars, 1000 high speed EMU’s, 1200 urban railway vehicles and 6000 bogies. In 2010, CRC reached sales turnover for RMB 11 billion.
CRC has manufactured in total more than 30000 railway vehicles and EMU’s, which take 44% of all vehic les in service. CRC has produced more than 4100 vehicles for urban rail and maglev in total, which is about 55% of all vehicles in service in China. Products have been exported to Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Argentina and Hong Hong.
CRC is one of the first national innovative enterprises in China and national high-tech enterprise. Its products have been rewarded as “National Famous and Excellent Product”.

1. Line dynamic stress test and fatigue life assessment for key load bearing components of bogies for high speed EMU’s.
2. CRC has in-house capacity of developing high speed EMU bogies for different speed levels and also has yearly capacity of producing 5000 bogies of different types (high speed EMU, passenger cars, urban rail transit).
3. Company currently manufactures high speed EMU bogies for different speed levels, conducts dynamic stress tests on actual working conditions of key load bearing components for different lines and makes assessment of fatigue life of such components based on actual measurements from the test.
4. Test and assessment methods would need international recognition.
