过载保护要有认证，或符合阻抗保护要求的马达。 符合 以下条件的，可不用过载保护：
a) 有一个保护装置，在锁转子时，其手动复位装置能连续操作4次； b)马达只是用于运送空气， 且运送空气的风叶是固定在马达上； c)罩极电机有以下情况的，可认为符合过载保护要求，堵转电流与空载电流的比值是2:1或更小 的，以及堵转电流与空载电流之差值是1A或更小的。(注意，此2者是and 的条件）

备注: Figure 4 是IEC专用的测试指, 其指节尺寸比Figure 2 UL的专用测 试指粗一点

Flexible Cord Type
– 可用电源线类型见附表, 常见的是SVT类型. 注意这种电源线若用cord clamp 方式固定, 要在clamp与电源线间, 用玻纤管,硅胶管或其他类似的套管作为保护, 注意热塑性管不能 用于热塑性电源线上,例如PVC套管. 详见Clause 4.4.3.2. 加套管后, 要用4只样板,按 clause 5.14.3的要求进行测试.

Plug Rating – 插头的电流额定值不能少于1.25倍产品额定电流值; – 有以下的情形,插头的电流额定值不少于产品额定电流值即可: a) 标有 “Connect To Individual Branch Circuit.”警句的固定式器具; b) 标有 “Connect Only To A Dedicated Individual Branch Circuit.” 警句的商用吸尘器; – 要连接到主体使用的电气附件，不能提供通用插头作为与主体的连 接方式，以免用户误插到电源插座。
– A household-use floor finishing machine shall be provided with either a detachable or a nondetachable power supply cord not less than 15 feet (要>= 4.57 m) long, including fittings.
– A portable commercial appliance, portable outdoor use appliance or portable handsupported blower cleaner shall be provided with not more than 18 inches (要<= 457 mm) of permanently attached flexible power-supply cord or with a connector base (motorattachment plug) if: a) the appliance is marked in accordance with Clause 9.3.15 or provided with instructions in accordance with Clause 10.5.2; or; b) the manufacturer furnishes a detachable cord set, 6 feet (1.82 m) or more in length, with the appliance.
支撑带电体的泡沫塑料,要求HF-1等级, 对CTI, HWI及HAI无要求. 支撑带电体的热塑性塑料,要进行Clause 5.20.3(Mold stress-relief distortion)的测试. 注意未作任何处理的fiber，在有可能潮湿的地方， 不能直接接触带电体。

若器具的马达在正常使用中有可能过载或堵转, 而用户又不易觉察到这种情况时，器具要有过载保护；

的, 中央式的吸收器及吹气系统; c) 室内使用的,家用的有载流软管的干式(非吸湿)吸收器; d) 用于中央吸尘系统中连接载流软管与马达驱动式管嘴联合部件的,

b. 3-wire grounding type

支撑带电体或距离带电体0.8mm的塑料, 要有以下特性: a) volume resistivity (体积电阻率) of at least 50x106 ohm-cm; b) comparative tracking index (CTI) of at least 100 volts (PLC 4 - see note (a) of Table 4); and c) a high current arc ignition (HAI) and hot-wire ignition (HWI) as specified in Table 4.

Flexible Cord Length
– The length of an attached flexible power supply cord for a vacuum cleaner or blower cleaner shall not be less than 6 feet (要>=1.82 m);

用于Class A马达线圈与金属部件之间的绝缘材料，应该是无填充物的或玻纤加强的尼龙，PC，PBT， PET，酚醛树脂（电木），POM等材料，且RTI>=150°C。马达引线要至小90 °C;除了以上提及的 热塑性材料，均要符合Clause 5.23.4（Thermal aging)的要求。
– For a central vacuum cleaner, the length of the flexible power supply cord shall not be less than 3 feet (要>=0.9 m). For required installation instructions see Clause 10.5.8;
Remark: Clause 9.3.15 & Clause 10.5.2是说在产品上或说明书中标注可以使用延长线.
– The length of the power-supply cord or cord set on a wet pick-up appliance that is supported by the body of a person but not solely handheld shall be not less than 20 feet (要 >= 6.1 m).

Flexible Cord Type
