After some time, Heidi's health began to suffer from the unhealthy city air. The family doctor recommended that she return to the mountains to recuperate. Upon returning home, Heidi found that Peter's mother had passed away and he had left to seek his fortune in the city. Heartbroken once again, Heidi threw herself into helping her grandfather in his daily tasks.
One day, Peter returned to the mountains with his fortune made and a plan to build a house for Heidi and her grandfather. Heidi was overjoyed to see him again and they soon became engaged. Together, they built their dream house on a hilltop overlooking the valley below.
In the end, Heidi found happiness in the mountains with her beloved grandfather and Peter. She had learned to appreciate the simple things in life: love, friendship, nature, and freedom. She also understood that true happiness came from being oneself and following one's dreams and passions.
