When I feel proud, it's a mixed feeling. On one hand, I feel accomplished and validated for my hard work and achievements. On the other hand, I worry that my pride might come across as arrogance or boastfulness to others.
One example of when I felt proud was when I received a promotion at work. I had been working hard for months, taking on extra responsibilities and putting in long hours. When my boss offered me the promotion, I felt a rush of pride and satisfaction. I had proven myself and my hard work had paid off.
However, I also worried about how my colleagues would perceive me. Would they think I was bragging about my promotion? Would they be jealous or resentful? I had to be careful not to let my pride turn into arrogance, and to continue to work hard and prove myself.
