When I look back at my past, I can clearly see how much I've changed. And one incident comes to my mind that really shows this.
It was a few years ago when I was still in middle school. I was this super shy and quiet kid who would barely talk to anyone. I remember there was this school event - a talent show. My classmates were all excited about it, signing up for singing, dancing, or doing magic tricks. But I just sat there in the corner, thinking that this kind of thing wasn't for me.
My best friend, Lily, came over and said, "Hey, why don't you sign up? You have some hidden talents for sure!" I shook my head firmly and said, "No way, I'm too scared. I'll just watch." Lily rolled her eyes and said, "Come on! Don't be such a chicken. It'll be fun!"
But I still refused. Days passed, and the day of the talent show arrived.
I watched my classmates shine on the stage, and I felt a little jealous and sad. I thought to myself, "Why couldn't I be brave like them?"
After the show, Lily came to me again and said, "You see, it wasn't that scary, right? You missed a great chance to show everyone how amazing you are." Her words really hit me.
From that day on, I decided to change. I started forcing myself to talk to more people, to raise my hand in class, and to take part in activities. At first, it was really hard. My heart would race and my voice would tremble. But slowly, I got better and better.
Now, I'm not that shy kid anymore. I can talk freely with others, and I'm not afraid to show myself. I'm so glad that I made that change.
Looking back, I realize that sometimes all it takes is a little push and the determination to step out of our comfort zone. And that's how I changed a lot.。
