黄河国家地质公园the yellow river scenic area of zhengzhou

The yellow river scenic area is located at a special geograghical position. Here, you can see the teminal point of the loess plateau, the beginning point of the North china plain and the elevated Yellow River, as well as the dividing line of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. Here, the Yellow River takes on these features: muddy, elevated, broad, dangeous and precariously winding.
Here, five thousand years ago, our ancestors Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang formed alliance on the North Mount Mangshan. That alliance was the beginning of thousands of years of Chinese civilization.
Here, two thousands years ago, war lords liubang and xiangyu fought to death for the right to be emperoy. They ultimately reached an agreement that the Honggou valley would serve as a dividing line. So here also is the birthplace of the dividing line of Chu(xiangyu‟s army) and Han(liubang …s army) on Chinese chessboard.
Fifty years ago,Chairman Mao Zengdong climbed up Mount Xiaodingshan and issued the call that “the Yellow River must be well harnessed”.
Nowadays, this magical land has become a national AAAA-grade tourism attraction and national Yellow River geological, combining the Yellow River culture, the loess culture and the root culture in one.
这里是黄土高原的终点，华北平原的起点，黄河中下游的分界线，黄河堤上悬河的起点，黄河的“悬、险、荡、阔、浊”等特点在此尽显；
五千多年前，炎黄始祖北邙结盟，由此缔造千年华夏文明；
两千多年前，刘邦项羽鸿沟争霸，留下中国象棋盘上永远的“楚河汉界”；
五十多年前，毛主席登临小顶山，发出“要把黄河的事情办好”的伟大号召；
如今，这片神奇的土地已建成集“黄土·黄河·根”文化为一体的国家的4A级旅游区，黄河国家地质公园。
