Personal Statement
I am ……, a first-year undergraduate student of Department of……, ……University, China. I major in ……. I now sincerely apply for an opportunity to study a half-year undergraduate course in your University as an exchange student.
My strong interest in Physical Education started in my high school years. I was interested in doing physical exercises. And I knew doing exercises can make people keep from suffering from diseases. So I want to go into the course of teaching others in this field. I was very proud of my score in high school.
I have a happy and harmonious family. My mother comes from a teacher’s family. She always pays great attention to my education. And when I was a child, my father was strict to me on my study and consciously cultivated my ability. Both my parents support my decision to study abroad.
In my college, I also take part in various extracurricular activities apart from my class. For instance, I just took part in sports meeting as a competitor and a referee. I think such activity can strength my professional competence in my major. I also participate in English corner every afternoon from Monday to Friday to practice my oral English and my ability to communicate with others. However, my ability to command
language is not good. I want to go abroad to practice myself.
After the half-year study in your university, I plan to come back to my college to finish my last two undergraduate years. I believe that the rich teaching experience of your university and my own solid learning foundation will enable me to get well-prepared for my future study and work.
