I want to seek some help from you. I am eager to grow up but I am afraid to. I hate it when I have to be governed by teachers at school and monitored by parents at home. In the meanwhile, it seems too challenging for me to take charge of everything on my own.
I’ve been thinking about the reasons lying behind. On the one hand, I desire the opportunity to make my inner voice heard. But my parents never listen to me. They just shape my dependence in the name of love and care, which actually robs me of some golden chances to deal with problems by myself. On the other hand, without enough life experience, it’s really not easy for me to find a way out when problems occur.
Do you think it a good idea to talk to my teachers and parents about my confusion? Since they have gone through what I’m experiencing now, is it possible for them to offer me some practical advice.
2
I feel stressed. However hard I work, my parents never seem to be satisfied with my performance.
My parents always urge me to do more exercises to improve myself. Being buried in exercises really exhausts me. Despite this, they still keep pushing me ahead. I understand that there are no parents who don’t want to witness their children’s success, and my parents are no different, so they make every effort to remind me to work even harder. Besides, excellent peers around me give them extra pressure to make me better, as they don’t want to see me fall behind.
Now I’m in desperate need of reasonable solutions to my problem. Is it a desirable idea to have a talk with my parents to convey my true feelings? Will it work if I can make them aware of the harm of their pushy behavior to me? Can you give me some advice?。
