2013年六月英语四级真题作文
2013年六月英语四级真题作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇12013年六月英语四级真题作文In June 2013, the writing task for the English Proficiency Test (CET-4) centered around the topic of social networking. The prompt asked students to discuss the impact of social networking on interpersonal relationships and communication. This is a relevant and timely topic as social networking has become an integral part of our lives in the digital age.First and foremost, social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have revolutionized the way we communicate and connect with others. These platforms have made it easier for people to stay in touch with friends and family, no matter where they are in the world. Through social networking, individuals can share photos, videos, and updates about their lives in real-time, allowing for greater connectivity and interaction. However, the rise of social networking has also brought about some negative consequences. One of the main concerns isthe impact of social networking on face-to-face communication. With the prevalence of texting, messaging, and online chatting, many people have become more comfortable communicating through screens rather than in person. This can lead to a lack of meaningful, in-depth conversations and a decrease in genuine human connections. Moreover, the constant use of social networking platforms can also lead to issues such as cyberbullying, privacy breaches, and addiction. As people spend more time on social media, they may become more vulnerable to negative interactions and online harassment. Additionally, the sharing of personal information on social networking sites can make individuals more susceptible to identity theft and fraud. Finally, the addictive nature of social media can lead to decreased productivity and a lack of focus on real-life activities. In conclusion, the impact of social networking on interpersonal relationships and communication is complex and multifaceted. While social networking has undoubtedly improved connectivity and communication in many ways, it also raises concerns about the quality of our interactions and the potential risks associated with online platforms. As we continue to navigate the digital landscape, it is important to be mindful ofthe ways in which social networking can influence our relationships and communication habits. By striking a balance between online and offline interactions, we can harness the benefits of social networking while mitigating its drawbacks.篇2Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the specific content of the 2013 June English CET-4 exam as it is considered proprietary material. However, I can offer a general overview of what to expect in the writing section of the exam.In the writing section of the CET-4 exam, students are typically asked to write an essay on a given topic. The topics usually cover a wide range of social, environmental, and personal issues, and may require students to provide arguments or opinions on the topic. When writing the essay, it is important for students to structure their writing clearly, use appropriate vocabulary and grammar, and provide relevant examples to support their arguments. They should also pay attention to the word limit and avoid going off-topic.To prepare for the writing section of the exam, students should practice writing essays regularly and familiarizethemselves with a variety of topics and writing styles. They can also seek feedback from teachers or peers to improve their writing skills and identify areas for improvement.Overall, the writing section of the CET-4 exam is a great opportunity for students to showcase their English language skills and critical thinking abilities. With practice and preparation, students can improve their writing and perform well on the exam.篇3The June 2013 English CET-4 exam featured a writing task that required students to compose an essay on a given topic. The topic for that year was "The Impact of Social Networking Sites on Modern Society." This subject was particularly relevant at the time as social media platforms were becoming increasingly popular and influential in people's everyday lives. In my essay, I discussed the various ways in which social networking sites have impacted modern society. I highlighted the positive aspects of these platforms, such as their ability to connect people from around the world, facilitate communication, and provide a platform for sharing ideas and information. I also addressed the negative consequences of social media, includingissues related to privacy, cyberbullying, and the spread of misinformation.I argued that while social networking sites have undoubtedly changed the way we interact and communicate, it is important for individuals to use these platforms responsibly and be aware of the potential risks involved. I emphasized the need for users to be mindful of the information they share online and to be critical consumers of the content they come across.Overall, I believe that social networking sites have had a profound impact on modern society, both positive and negative. It is important for individuals to navigate these platforms thoughtfully and to be aware of the implications of their online actions. Through responsible use, social media can continue to be a valuable tool for connecting people and fostering communication in our increasingly connected world.。
2013英语六级作文真题
2013英语六级作文真题It was a day I will never forget. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I was feeling on top of the world. I had just aced my final exam and was looking forward to a long, relaxing summer break. As I walked home from school, I couldn't help but smile at the thought of all the fun I was going to have. I had plans to go on a road trip with my friends, spend lazy days at the beach, and maybe even pick up a new hobby. The possibilities seemed endless. But just as I turned the corner onto my street, I saw smoke billowing out of my house. My heart sank as Irealized that something was terribly wrong. I ran as fast as I could, and when I got closer, I saw firefighters and paramedics swarming around the house.I felt a lump form in my throat as I watched them carry out my parents on stretchers. They had been caught in afire that had started in the kitchen. I couldn't believe what was happening. It all felt like a terrible nightmare. In the days that followed, I spent every moment at the hospital, praying for my parents' recovery. It was a rollercoaster of emotions hope, fear, and despair. But through it all, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from friends and neighbors. As my parents slowly began to recover, I realized how precious life truly is. I had taken so much for granted, but now I understood the importance of cherishing every moment and telling the people you love how much they mean to you.In the end, the experience brought my family closer together. We learned to appreciate each other in a way we never had before. And as we sat together in our newly rebuilt home, I knew that we were stronger than ever. We had faced adversity and come out the other side, and that was something to be truly grateful for.。
2013年12月4-6级考试真题
2013年12月英语四级真题作文范文1.As the drawing presents, there is a man walking across the street absorbedly focusing on his cell phone without noticing the surroundings. This sort of phenomenon is not uncommon and rare in some metropolis, especially among the youngsters. What the picture illustrates is the prevailing situation that has long existed in today's China. That is the mobile phone obsession. With the advent of information age, people are becoming increasingly fascinated on the electronic products, especially the cell phones. Not surprisingly, you could easily notice that most of us are obsessed in sending messages, playing online games with their mobile phones. It cannot be denied that this phenomenon may negatively impact the relationship among people, and therefore they will become estranged and isolated.Personally, in view of the overuse of mobile phones, I hold that we individuals should raise the necessary awareness that good relationship are reinforced by sincere andface-to-face communication.2.2013年12月英语四级作文题目一:社交网络对人际交流的影响2013年12月英语四级作文范文:社交网络对人际交流的影响(文都教育版)Due to the wide use of computers and the development of Internet, more and more people like to chat on the Internet. We tend to pay more attention to electronic communication than to face-to-face contact. As electronic communication is not limited by space, we can chat with others where there is Internet with our tools such as computers, mobile phones and pads. However, when we chat with others online, we cannot express our feelings fully. Just as the picture shows, the parents cannot touch or hug their child. We know that body language plays an important role in our communication, but the electronic communication cannot do this. For example, when we are sad, we need more love and warmth, a real hug from our parents or friends can mean much more to us than just words through electronic communication. Therefore, though electronic communication brings convenience to our life, I still don’t think the electronic communication can replace face-to-face contact.3. The Impact of the Internet on the Way People CommunicateThe modern technology has greatly altered the mode of communication among people. With the help of the Internet, people can easily contact each other anytime anywhere. However, the side effect is that many people have become over-dependent on the Internet and neglected face-to-face communication. As far as I'm concerned, electronic communication cannot fully replace the direct contact among people. Although it seems to bring everyone together, it actually estranges people and decreases the effectiveness of communication. A typical example is that, traditionally, people working in the same office simply walk to others and talk. Today, however, co-workers tend to send e-mails or instant messages through the Internet even when they are sitting next to each other. As words can never convey the full message, it usually takes much more time and rounds of conversation than face-to-face communication, in which people can discuss more directly with less loss of information. To conclude, the Internet enables more effective communication in some situations, but over-dependence on it actually pulls people apart.4.The Impact of the Internet on the Way People CommunicateBeing a product of high-technology, Internet and computers are being more and more widely used in our everyday life. They can offer us fast and convenient service for communication. In recent years, computers and the Internet have become popular among university students. Quite a lot of them use them at school to keep in touch with their families and friends instead of going home to see them in person or writing letters. Which, of course brings conveniences to them, but I don’t think it is good to do so. Internet makes electronic communication convenient, but it will never replace face to face contact. Both electronic communication and face-to-face contact are important in our life. What we should do it to apply each communication ways in the right way.Technology development enables us to communication with parents and friend in a brand new and fast way, but it is face-to face contact that deepens the feelings and emotions between people.2013年12月新版四级考试翻译:原题:"你要茶还是咖啡?"是用餐人常被问到的问题,许多西方人会选咖啡,而中国人则会选茶。

2014年12月英语六级作文真题范文2014年12月英语六级作文真题一:科技题目:For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay based on the picture below. You should start your essay with a brief description of the picture and then discuss whether technology is indispensable in education. You should give sound arguments to support your views and write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.范文:From this cartoon, we clearly see that the student is asking his teacher about whether or not he can use some tech support to figure out the problem in his math class. What’s behind the cartoon is the fact that nowadays students become increasingly dependent on technological devices to help them with their school work.In my opinion, with the advances in technology, students can learn more efficiently. First of all, technology provides infinite resources for learning. When our parents were students, they could only learn from their teachers, while nowadays, we can learn much more from the Internet. Second, it’s more convenient to learn with tech support. For example, I got enrolled in a Spanish class in an online school called Hu jiang Online Class. All it requires is a PC or a smart phone, and I can learn the lectures anytime and anywhere. Lastly, it’s more economical to learn online. Besides the courses, free Apps are also easily accessible. As for me, tech support has become an important part in my daily study. I will continue to learn in this way, and I believe that we can learn more efficiently if we are able to utilize the technologies around us.2014年12月英语六级作文真题二:学无止境题目:Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay based on the picture below. You should start your essay with a brief description of the picture and then discuss whether there is a shortcut to learning. You should give sound arguments to support your views and write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.范文:The comic is an ironical illustration that it is unadvisable to search for a shortcut to learning. The student tries to find a book about how to do well in school without studying in the library, only to be told that it is unrealistic and impractical. The discussion of whether there is a shortcut to learning is essentially the requesting for a supreme learning method – a panacea every learner wishes for. In my opinion, the shortcut to learning does exist. It is the combination of diligence and intelligence. As Thomas Edison says, “Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.”On one hand, hard work is the premise and prerequisite for achieving academic success. Even the most resourceful ones have to devote their time studying and reading, because knowledge does not go automatically into the brain. All efforts will be futile if we idle away our time.On the other hand, it is undeniable that there are ways to improve learning efficiency, especially with the support of technology like the Internet. Better learners are always the ones with cleverer learning skills. To sum up, only when we diligently and skillfully can we achieve academic success.2014年12月英语六级作文真题三:学历歧视题目:Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay based on the picture below. You should start your essay with a brief description of the picture and then discuss what qualities an employer should look for in job applicant. You should give sound arguments to support your views and write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.范文:According to the picture, an employer turns down a job applicant, for his degree is less advanced than the other applicants, even though he has a good resume. Actually, what’s behind the cartoon is the tendency that employers focus on academic performance when hiring. No one disputes that a college or higher degree opens doors. Despite that, as far as I’m concerned, academic degree should not be the primary criteria in selecting talents. First of all, academic degrees only represent the applicants’ proficiency in their school work, and cannot demonstrate their personality or other abilities. For instance, the responsibility of a human resources manager is to deal with people, and thus it requires advanced people skill which is by no means shown in the diploma. Second, emphasis on degrees may stall the development of the company. They will lose real talents if they judge people only by their educational background, while it is often the case that college drop-outs like Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Steve Jobs, etc., run wildly successful enterprises. Therefore, instead of running after applicants with higher degrees, companies should become more concerned about what it takes to do the job and what a college education actually provides.。

Ways to Get Over Information ExplosionNowadays, with the pullulation of the technology, it is an undeniable fact that information explosion is increasingly becoming the issue which arouse public concern.Undoubtedly,as the saying goes, ”A wealth of information creates a poverty of attention ". Primarily, it is no exaggeration to say our life is glutted with a large amount of irrelevant information. In addition, there is little doubt that people are likely carried away by quite a little irrelevant information when searching information on the Internet. Last but not least, it is fairly acknowledged that excessively useless information will exert negative impacts on our original schedule, which is detrimental to their work and study。

2013-12CET-6 (刁国瑞,宋三闯,任海静,赵瑞雅)WritingSet-1For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on happiness by referring to the saying “Happiness is not the absence of problems”,but the ability to deal with them.” You can cite examples to illustrate your point and then explain how you can develop your ability to deal with problem and be happy. You should write at least 150words but no more than 200words.题型分析:第一段:揭示主题,幸福的源泉不在于没有问题,而是在于培养处理问题的能力。
第二段:列举具体事例,证明自己观点。
第三段:介绍如何培养解决问题的能力,范文一:The Way to HappinessWhen it comes to the topic of “happiness”, everybody has his own interpretation .but an inspiring idea goes that happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them, which reveals the nature of happiness. Happiness will be achieved only when we show great courage to confront problems and develop the capacity to solve them. There is no denying that we may encounter many problems in our life ,but that doesn’t mean we are deprived of happiness .many people have set great examples for us to follow: Nelson Mandela was sentenced to 27 years in prison ,but he was optimistic and finally became successfulin fighting against racial segregation .Steve Job was abandoned by his biological parents and dropped out of university but still managed to change the word .in our lives no one is definitely to problems, but we may achieve happiness through striving. Therefore, it is of great necessity to equip ourselves with the ability to cope with problems .to be specific, we need to be cooperative, persistent and decisive, and have a positive attitude toward problems. Only when we are proficient in dealing with problems can we fully enjoy happiness and a merry life.单词:revealvt.揭示,揭露词组:disregard problem 忽视问题avoid problem 避免问题happiness index 幸福指数in pursuit of happiness 追求幸福d evelop one’s strength 发展自身长处overcome obstacles 克服障碍optimism and pessimism 乐观和悲观keep positive mind 保持积极向上的心confront problem 面对问题There is no denying that.... .......不可否认........encounter problems 遇到问题set great examples for... 为什么树立榜样.....drop out of university 大学辍学be immune to...不受... 的影响be of great necessity 非常有必要equip with 配备,具有使用句型:1. Everyone has a different definition to the true meaning of happiness. For Franklin Roosevelt, “happiness is not the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.” For Elbert Einstein, “if you want to live in a happy life, tie it to the goal, not the people or the things.” Although the two great men grant different definitions to happiness, there is something in common, that is, happiness derives from the capacity to solve problems. I believe that this is true. There is no denying that life is full of problems. Let’s take environmental pollution forexample. Pollution poses a great threat to our existence. Fortunately, this public hazard has drawn our greatly attention and many effective measures are being taking to solve it. In fact, now the public are benefiting more and more from pollution prevention and control. We can enjoy clear air, health food and beautiful scenes again. Isn’t this happiness? All in all, indeed, equipped with the ability to cope with problems should suppose to be happiness. In other worlds, in the middle of problems lies happiness.词组:lie...in .... 适用于tie...to ....依赖,依靠in common 与什么相同There is no denying that ...不可否认...All in all 总的来说使用句型:Have a different definition toThere is no denying thatIn other worldsSet-2For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay about the impact of information explosion by referring to the saying "a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention". You can cite examples to illustrate your point and then explain what you can do to avoid being distracted by irrelevant information? You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.范文一:Keep Oneself FocusedAlthough a wealth of information is believed to be good news for people, there are still those people lost in a sea of information. For example, some college graduates cannot land a job offer finally in spite of so many job offers facing them. Then comes the question “why people are lost when faced with a wealth of information”? Undoubtedly, the point is that "a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention".Those who are distracted by irrelevant information cannot focus themselves on what they should concentrate themselves upon. For example, a college graduate should focus on their career planning in their all life, but unfortunately most of them are distracted by the mere desire for money. As a result, they will be loser. By contrast, Those who know their real needs and can keep themselves focused on what they should concentrate themselves upon can go all out to pursue and achieve their dreams. Such persons are sure to enjoy more success and happiness. As to the issue, I hold that above all I must know what I myself need exactly. In other words, I must embrace a very clear and definite goal. Then, reflection and reminding can help me a lot. I’ll usually reflect whether I stay away from my goal or not, and remind meself to be concentrated. Last I must improve myself to be more self-disciplined.In a word, a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention. So it is significant that we should keep ourselves focused.单词:Undoubtedly adv. 确实地,无庸置疑地definite adj. 一定的;确切的self-disciplined adj. 有自我约束力的;能律己的significant adj. 重大的;有效的;有意义的;值得注意的;意味深长的n.特征、有意义的事物词组:in spite of 尽管;不管,不顾By contrast 相比之下;与之相比concentrate upon专心于;集中在stay away from躲避;离…远点;不在家例句:Those who are distracted by irrelevant information cannot focus themselves on what they should concentrate themselves upon.范文二:Ways to Get over Information ExplosionAs the saying goes,“A wealth of information creates a poverty of attention”. Nowadays we are in era of information explosion. More and more people complain that they are lost in the information age.Admittedly, no one can deny the fact that the new information age has brought us so much convenience that we are allowed to get plenty of information just with a simple click sitting in front of the computer. Nevertheless, we are also confused, annoyed, distracted and upset by an incredibly large quantity of information. For example, when searching for something online, people are easily misguided by irrelevant information and forget their original plans. Besides, some information often turn out to be useless and actually advertisement. Therefore, it can be time-consuming and troublesome to search information online. Then what can we do to avoid being distracted by irrelevant information? Here are some useful tips: Firstly, make a list of what you are really want before you searching. You can avoid some appealing, yet irrelevant information in this way. Then, find some credible and professional sources or websites and then save and categorize them. In this case, you can easily leave some advertisements and useless information behind.单词:admittedlyadj. 无可否认的time-consumingadj.浪费时间的adv. 然而,不过;虽然如此conj.然而,不过incredibleadj.难以置信的,惊人的troublesomeadj. 难以置信的,惊人的短语:in an era of 在一个…的时代be lost in 迷失在turn out to be 结果是more and more 越来越多的例句拓展:1.With the information age coming, knowledge is being update in a shorter time。

【2013年12月6级】写作范文汇总
Don't Hesitate to Say NoAs a general rule, people like to help others, but there are occasions when you should say no to requests for favors. For instance, it is better to refuse when a child pesters you for sweet food and drinks or for too many toys. Another example is when a relative asks you to use your influence to get him or her a bank loan or a work promotion. However, we cannot ignore the fact that many people are reluctant to say no. They feel that if they turn down a request from a relative or friend, they will cause ill-feeling within the family or become unpopular with their acquaintances. A notable case in point is when the boss asks them to do something which they feel is unreasonable. It is important to keep in mind that not saying no when you should say no can sometimes have harmful consequences. If children are given everything they ask for, not only may their health be damaged, but they may grow up selfish and spoilt. Again, in the long run it is kinder to refuse to lend money to a person who has a gambling or alcoholism problem. The Career I PursueUnlike many other college students, I thought long and hard about my future before embarking on my studies. I then sought advice from my teachers and my parents about the best life path for me to choose. Finally, I settled on journalism as the career which would best suit my temperament.Although the financial rewards has two particular attractions for me. First, by supplying people with the information they need every day, it fulfills a socially useful function. Second, it is a job full of novelty, unlike most occupations, which involve simply routine work.In order to prepare myself for my future career in the world of the media—whether it be working for a newspaper or a magazine, or in the sphere of radio and television—I have carefully selected my college course. My basic fields of study are Mass Communications and Economics. At the same time, having an eye to reporting events worldwide, I am taking extra classes to improve my English and reading widely to increase my general knowledge. My View on Job-HoppingJob-hopping, or frequent change of jobs, is becoming increasingly common in China today. As the economy grows, more opportunities for employment are appearing than before. The result is that people, especially young people, are tempted to change jobs frequently, seeking higher salaries or more interesting positions.Nevertheless, many people prefer to stay in their old jobs. This is partly because they feel loyal to their work units, and partly because they dislike the idea of having to spend much time training for a new job. In addition, although a new job may offer higher pay or more opportunities for promotion, it may be located far from home and be inconvenient to reach.I think it is a good thing for the workforce to be flexible, so that new demands for personnel can be satisfied quickly. However, if a person changes jobs too often, he or she will cause losses to the employing units. Moreover, frequent job-hopping prevents a person from gaining valuable job experience and developing good work habits. Why I Take College English Test Band 6(a)Some people consider that it is unnecessary to take College English Test Band 6 (CET-6). One reason they cite is that most schools set CET-4 as the main requirement. Another reason is that they think that CET-6 is simply too difficult for them.I, however, have decided to accept the challenge of CET-6. The preparation for this test will force me to raise the level of my English ability. Besides, I regard CET-6 as a stepping-stone to further qualifications in English which will help me in my future career. All in all, taking CET-6 is advantageous for both a student’s studies and his personal development. The first advantage is that he will improve his English skills in an all-round way. The second is that he will strengthen his character by continuing his English studies when other people have been lazy and stopped.(b)When it comes to College English Test Band 6 (CET-6), opinions differ from person to person. Some hold the positive view. They believe that taking CET-6 is advantageous for both a student’s studies and his personal development. The first advantage is that he will improve his English skills in an all-round way. The second is that he will strengthen his character by continuing his English studies when other people have been lazy and stopped.Others, however, hold the opposite view. The most serious are shortages of resources, environmental pollution, and the pressure of population growth. In turn, these problems cause poverty, disease and wars.Pessimists say that the human race is facing extinction. This is because it is now too late to solve these problems, according to them. They predict that resources will become exhausted sooner or later, that pollution will eventually poison the planet, and that unchecked population growth will cause mass starvation. But I do not agree that mankind is doomed. In the past, the human race has always shown that it has the wisdom to overcome any threat to its survival. In the future, too, mankind will survive by using its wisdom to find a way out of its problems. How to Succeed in a Job Interview? It is undeniable that an interview plays a critical role in job-hunting. Through the interview, an employer can meet their future employees in person and know them more thoroughly. Sometimes the written form of examination cannot reveal candidates' real talents or problems. Besides, it is also beneficial for candidates to take aninterview. They will have a chance to make their employers understand them better.A number of factors contribute to the success in a job interview. Personally, I think job-hunters should pay attention to the following points. First, they should be well prepared professionally. That means they should be ready to answer all the important questions concerning their future job. Secondly, they should express themselves confidently and honestly. Last but not least, they should pay enough attention to their appearances, that is, they should be properly dressed. As far as I am concerned, I will get academically ready first, and then be relaxed to answer all the questions. I will also dress up and behave properly. I do believe that so long as I make good preparations, I will perform well in the interview.。

This proverb aims to deliver the message that in order to truly know a person, we need to go beyond their looks and dresses and focus on more profound aspects. There are several reasons supportive of this statement. Firstly, people are so diverse that some of them are not willing to demonstrate themeselves by their apperance because they may dedicate more time to their work and their hobbies. Moreover, it is too busy for the modern urban people to maintain their appearance. If we judge a person by their appearance when he or she is in a bad state, we might lose a possible good friend or an opportunity. For instance, yesterday the dean of our department, on his way to the teaching building for an emergent meeting with an important investor, fell to the ground and got very dirty. But the new security, taking him for a beggar or a vendor, didn’t allow the dean to enter the building. Finally, the security was fired for his arbitrary judgment. To conclude, judging a person by their appearance is highly undependable. Therefore, we’d better draw a conclusion about a person through a long period of observations, interactions, and communication.这篇文章的题型没有很难,可以直接当做引言类的文章来写。

Writing is an essential part of the test, and students are required to demonstrate their ability to express ideas, organize thoughts, and use proper grammar and vocabulary. In this article, we will review the writing tasks and performance trends in CET-6 exams from 2013 onwards.2013: In the 2013 CET-6 exam, the writing task required students to write an argumentative essay on the topic of whether social media has had a positive or negative impact on society. Students were expected to present well-reasoned arguments and support their points with examples and evidence. The overall performance in this task was mixed, with some students showing strong critical thinking skills and persuasive writing, while others struggled to develop coherent arguments.2014: The writing task in the 2014 CET-6 exam was a descriptive essay on the topic of a memorable travel experience. Students were asked to vividly describe a personal travelexperience and convey their emotions and impressions effectively. This task was generally well-received by students, who found it easier to write about a personal experience than to argue a complex issue. The level of language proficiency and creativity demonstrated in this task was higher compared to the previous year.2015: In the 2015 CET-6 exam, the writing task required students to write a compare and contrast essay on the topic of traditional education versus online education. Students were tasked with analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each type of education and providing recommendations for improvement. This task proved to be challenging for many students, as it required them to think critically and synthesize complex information. Overall, the performance in this task was slightly lower compared to the previous year.2016: The writing task in the 2016 CET-6 exam was an argumentative essay on the topic of whether celebrities should use their fame to support social causes. The performance in this task was generally strong, withmany students demonstrating a good understanding of the topic and using persuasive language effectively.2017: In the 2017 CET-6 exam, the writing task required students to write a problem-solution essay on the topic of environmental pollution. Students were asked to identify the causes of environmental pollution and propose effective solutions to address the issue. This task was considered one of the most challenging in recent years, as it required students to have a deep understanding of environmental issues and propose feasible solutions. The overall performance in this task was variable, with some students presenting well-developed ideas and others struggling to provide effective solutions. Conclusion: In conclusion, the writing tasks in CET-6 exams have evolved over the years, covering a wide range of topics and challenging students to think critically and express their ideas effectively. While some tasks have been well-received by students and led to strong performances, others have proved more difficult and required students to demonstrate a deeper understanding of complex issues. Moving forward, it is important for students to continue practicing their writing skills and staying informed about current events and social issues to prepare effectively for the writing tasks in future CET-6 exams.。

Eachparagraph is marked with a letter. Answer the questions by markingthe correspondingletter on Answer Sheet 2.The Uses of DifficultyThe brain likes a challenge—and putting a few obstacles in its way may well boostits creativity.[A] Jack White, the former frontman of the White Stripes and an influential figureamong fellowmusicians, likes to make things difficult for himself. He uses cheapguitars that won't stay in shape orin tune. When performing, he positions his instruments in a way that is deliberately inconvenient, sothat switching from guitarto organ mid-song involves a mad dash across the stage. Why? Becausehe's on the runfrom what he describes as a disease that preys on every artist: "ease of use". Whenmaking music gets too easy, says White, it becomes harder to make it sing. [ B] It's an odd thought. Why would anyone make their work more difficult than it alreadyis? Yet weknow that difficulty can pay unexpected dividends. In 1966, soon after theBeatles had finished workon "Rubber Soul", Paul McCartney looked into the possibilityof going to America to record theirnext album. The equipment in American studios wasmore advanced than anything in Britain, whichhad led the Beatles' great rivals, theRolling Stones, to make their latest album, "Aftermath", in LosAngeles. McCartneyfound that EMI's (百代唱⽚) contractual clauses made it prohibitively expensivetofollow suit, and the Beatles had to make do with the primitive technology of Abbey Road.[C] Lucky for us. Over the next two years they made their most groundbreaking work, turning therecording studio into a magical instrument of its own. Precisely because they were working with oldofashioned machines, George Martin and his team of engineers were forced to apply every ounce oftheir creativity to solve theproblems posed to them by Lennon and McCartney. Songs like"Tomorrow Never Knows", " Strawberry Fields Forever", and "A Day in the Life" featuredrevolutionary sound effects that dazzled and mystified Martin's American counterparts.[D] Sometimes it's only when a difficulty is removed that we realise what it was doing for us. For morethan two decades, starting in the 1960s, the poet Ted Hughes sat on the judging panel of an annualpoetry competition for British schoolchildren. During the 1980s he noticed an increasing number oflong poems among the submissions, with some running to 70 or 80 pages. These poems were verballyinventive and fluent, but also "strangely boring". After making inquiries Hughes discovered that theywere being composed on computers, then just finding their way into British homes.[E] You might have thought any tool which enables a writer to get words on to the page would be anadvantage. But there may be a cost to such facility. Ifi an interview with the Paris Review Hughesspeculated that when a person puts pen to paper, "you meet the terrible resistance of what happenedyour first year at it, when you couldn't write at all". As the brain attempts to force the unsteady handto do its bidding, the tension between the two results in a more compressed, psychologically denserexpression. Remove that resistance and you are more likely to produce a 70-page ramble (不找边际的长篇⼤论).[F] Our brains respond better to difficulty than we imagine. In schools, teachers and pupils alike oftenassume that if a concept has been easy to learn, then the lesson has been successful. But numerousstudies have now found that when classroom material is made harder to absorb, pupils retain more of it over the long term, and understand it on a deeper level.[G] As a poet, Ted Hughes had an acute sensitivity to the way in which constraints on self-expression,like the disciplines of metre and rhyme (韵律), spur creative thought. What applies to poets andmusicians also applies to our daily lives. We tend to equate (等同)happiness with freedom, but, asthe psychotherapist and writer Adam Phillips has observed, without obstacles to our desires it'sharder to know what we want, or where we're heading. He tells the story of a patient, a first-timemother who complained that her young son was always clinging to her, wrapping himself around herlegs wherever she went. She never had a moment to herself, she said, because her son was "alwaysin the way". When Phillips asked her where she would go if he wasn't in the way, she repliedcheerfully, "Oh, I wouldn't know where I was!"[H] Take another common obstacle: lack of money. People often assume that more money will makethem happier. But economists who study the relationship between money and happiness haveconsistently found that, above a certain income, the two do not reliably correlate. Despite the easewith which the rich can acquire almost anything they desire, they are just as likely to be unhappy asthe middle classes. In this regard at least,F. Scott Fitzgerald was wrong.[I] Indeed, ease of acquisition is the problem. The novelist Edward St Aubyn has anarrator remark ofthe very rich that, "not having to consider affordability, theirdesires rambled on like unstoppablebores, relentless (持续不断的) and whimsical (反复⽆常的) at the same time. " When BostonCollege, a private research university, wanteda better feel for its potential donors, it asked thepsychologist Robert Kenny to investigate the mindset of the super-rich. He surveyed 165 households, most of which had a net worth of $ 25m or more. He found that many of his subjects were confusedbythe infinite options their money presented them with. They found it hard to know whatto want, creating a kind of existential bafflement. One of them put it like this: "Youknow, Bob, you can justbuy so much stuff, and when you get to the point where you canjust buy so much stuff, now what are you going to do?"[J] The Internet makes information billionaires out of all of us, and the architectsof our onlineexperiences are catching on to the need to make things creatively difficult. Twitter's huge success isrooted in the simple but profound insight thatin a medium'with infinite space for serf-expression, themost interesting thing we cando is restrict ourselves to 140 characters. The music service This Is MyJam helps peoplenavigate the tens of millions of tracks now available instantly via Spotify andiTunes.Users pick their favourite song of the week to share with others. They only get to chooseone. The service was only launched this year,,but by the end of September 650,000jams had beenchosen. Its cofounder Matt Ogle explains its raison d'etre (存在的理由) like this: "In an age ofendless choice, we were missing a way to say: This. Thisis the one you should listen to'. "[K] Today's world offers more opportunity than ever to follow the advice of the WalkerBrothers and make it easy on ourselves. Compared with a hundred years ago, ourlives are less tightly bound bysocial norms and physics! Constraints. Technology hascut out much of life's donkeywork, and wehave more freedoms than ever: we can wearwhat we like and communicate with hundreds of friendsat once at the click of a mouse. Obstacles are everywhere disappearing. Few of us wish to turn theclock back, butperhaps we need to remind ourselves how useful the right obstacles can be.Sometimes, the best route to fulfilment is the path of more resistance.46. The rigorous requirements placed on the writing of poetry stimulate the poet's creativity.47. With creativity, even old-fashioned instruments may produce spectacular soundeffects.48. More money does not necessarily bring greater happiness.49. It is a false assumption that lessons should be made easier to learn.50. Obstacles deliberately placed in the creation of music contribute to its success.51.Those who enjoy total freedom may not find themselves happy.52. Ted Hughes discovered many long poems submitted for poetry competition were composed on computers.53. Maybe we need to bear in mind that the right obstacles help lead us to greater achievements.54. An investigation found that many of the super-rich were baffled by the infinitechoices their money made available.55. One free social networking website ttwned out to be successful because it limited each posting to one hundred and forty characters.Section CDirections: There are 2 passages in this section. Each passage is followed by some questions orunfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A , B, C andD ). You should decide on the best choice and mark the corresponding letter on AnswerSheet 2 with a single line through the centre. Passage OneQuestions 56 to 60 are based on the following passage. There was a time not long ago when new science Ph. D. s in the United States were expected topursue a career path in academ/a (学术界).But today, most graduates end up working outsideacademia, not only in industry but also in careers such as science policy, communications, and patentlaw. partly this is a result of how bleak the academic job market is, but there's also a rising awareness ofcareer options that Ph.D. scientists haven't trained for directly—but for which they have usefulknowledge, skills, and experience. Still, there's a huge disconnect between the way we currently trainscientists and the actual employment opportunities available for them, and an urgent need for dramaticimprovements in training programs to help close the gap, One critical step that could help to drive changewould be to require Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scientists to follow an individual development plan(IDP).In 2002, the U. S. Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology recommended that everypostdoctoral researcher put together an IDP in consultation with an adviser. Since then, several academicinstitutions have begun to require IDPs for postdocs. And in June, the U. S. National Institutes of Health(NIH) Biomedical Research Workforce Working Group recommended that the NIH require IDPs for theapproximately 32,000 postdoctoral researchers they support. Other funding agencies, public and private, are moving in a similar direction.IDPs have long been used by government agencies and the private sector to achieve specific goals forthe employee and the organization. The aim is to ensure that employees have an explicit tool to help themunderstand their own abilities and aspirations, determine career possibilities , and set ( usually short-term)goals. In science, graduate students and new Ph.D. scientists can use an IDP to identify and navigate aneffective career path.A free Web application for this purpose, called myIDP, has become available this week. It's designed to guide early-career scientists through a confidential,,rigorous process of introspection (内省) to create acustomized career plan. Guided by expert knowledge from a panel of science-focused career advisers, each trainee's self-assessment is used to rank a set of career trajectories (轨迹). After the user hasidentified a long-term career goal, myIDP walks her or him through the process of setting short-term goalsdirected toward accumulating new skills and experiences important for that career choice.Although surveys reveal the IDP process to be useful, trainees report a need for additional resourcesto help them identify a long-term career path and complete an IDP.Thus, myIDP will be most effective.when it's embedded in larger career-development efforts. For example, universities could incorporate IDPsinto their graduate curricula to help students discuss, plan, prepare for, and achieve their long-termcareer goals.56. What do we learn about new science Ph.D. s in the United States today?A. They lack the skills and expertise needed for their jobs.B. They can choose from a wider range of well-paying jobs.C. They often have to seek jobs outside the academic circle.D.They are regarded as the nation's driving force of change.57. What does the author say about America's Ph, D. training?A. It should be improved to better suit the job market.B. It is closely linked to future career requirements.C. It should be re-oriented to careers outside academia.D.It includes a great variety of practical courses.58. What was recommended for Ph. D. s and postdoctoral researchers?A. They meet the urgent needs of the corporate world.B. A long-term career goal be set as early as possibleC. An IDP be made in consultation with an adviser.D.They acquire an explicit tool to help obtain jobs.59. Government agencies and the private sector often use IDPs to________A. bring into full play the skills and expertise of their postdoctoral researchers B. help employees make the best use of their abilities to achieve their career goals C. place employees in the most appropriate positionsD.hire the most suitable candidates to work for them60. What do we know about myIDP?A. It is an effective tool of self-assessment and introspection for better career plans.B. It enables people to look into various possibilities and choose the career they love.C. It promises a long-term career path.D.It is part of the graduate curricula.Passage TwoQuestions 61 to 65 are based on the following passage.Just over a decade into the 21st century, women's progress can be celebrated across a range of fields. They hold the highest political offices from Thailand to Brazil, Costa Rica to Australia. A woman holds thetop spot at the International Monetary Fund; another won the Nobel Prize in economics. Self-madebillionaires in Beijing, tech innovators in Silicon Valley, pioneering justices in Ghana—in these andcountless other areas, women are leaving their mark. But hold the applause. In Saudi Arabia, women aren't allowed to drive. In Pakistan,1,000 womendie in honor killings every year. In the developed world, women lag behind men in pay and politicalpower. The poverty rate among women in the U.S. rose to I4.5% last year.To measure the state ofwomen's progress. Newsweek ranked 165 countries, lookingat five areas thataffect women's lives: treatment under the law, workforce participation, political power, and access toeducation and health care. Analyzing data from the United Nations and the World EconomicForum, among others, and consulting with experts and academics, we measured 28 factors to come up with ourmakings.Countries with the highest scores tend to be clustered in the West, where gender :discrimination isagain.st the law, and equal rightsare constitutionally enshrined (神圣化). But there were some surprises. Some otherwise high-'ranking countries had relatively low scores for political representation. Canadaranked third overall but 26th in power, behind countries such as Cuba and Burundi. Does this suggest thata woman in a nation's top office translates to better lives for women in general? Not exactly. "Trying toquantify or measure the impact of women in politics is hard because in very few countries have there beenenough women in politics to make a difference," says Anne-Marie Goetz, peace and security adviser forU.N. Women.Of course, no index can account for everything. Declaring that one country is better than another inthe way that it treats more than half its citizens means relying on broad strokes and generalities. Somethings simply can't be measured. And cross-cultural comparisons can't account for differences of opinion.Certain conclusions are nonetheless clear. 2013英语六级作文真题
2013英语六级作文真题As a college student, I often find myself struggling to balance my academic workload with my social life. It's not easy to stay on top of all my assignments and still have time to hang out with friends and enjoy my hobbies. But I guess that's just part of the college experience, right?I have to admit that I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the pressure to excel in my studies. The competition is fierce, and I constantly feel like I have to prove myself. It's exhausting, to say the least. But I try to remind myself that it's all worth it in the end.One thing that really helps me cope with the stress is exercise. I make it a point to hit the gym at least three times a week, and I always feel so much better afterwards. It's amazing how much of a difference physical activity can make in your mental state.Of course, I also rely on my friends for support. Weall understand what each other is going through, and it's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this. We often study together or just hang out and vent about our struggles. It's therapeutic, to say the least. In the end, I know that this period of my life is just a stepping stone to bigger and better things. I try to keep that in mind whenever I start feeling overwhelmed. I know that I'm capable of handling whatever comes my way, andthat gives me the strength to keep pushing forward.。

2013年12月英语六级作文题目:Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on happiness by referring to the saying “Happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them.” You can cite examples to illustrate your point and then explain how you can develop your ability to deal with problems and be happy. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.2013年12月英语六级作文范文幸福Happiness, as the saying has it, is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them. In other words, people can never be happy if they focus on their difficulties and challenges. Simple as the remark may sound, it conveys a thought-provoking notion that happiness is a state of mind not an absence of problems.First and foremost, it is well known that in order to be a strong individual, one needs obstacles to develop one’s strength, just like butterflies which struggle to be free of their cocoon in order for their wings to become strong enough to fly. Furthermore, just because people have a disadvantaged childhood, it does not mean they cannot be successful. Steve Jobs is a case in point. He was abandoned by his biological parents and dropped out of university but still managed to change the world. To conclude, as the saying goes “You cannot run away from your problems. There is not a place far enough away.” Consequently, it is advisable for everyone to have a positive attitude toward their problems if they really want to be happy.2013年12月英语六级作文题目:Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on happiness by referring to the saying “Happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them.” You can cite examples to illustrate your point and then explain how you can develop your ability to deal with problems and be happy. 2013年12月英语六级作文真题及范文Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay on happiness by referring to the saying “Happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to deal with them.” You can cite examples to illustrate your points and then explain how you can develop your ability to deal with problem and be happy, you should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.范文To solve problem, to taste happiness“What is happiness?” is a cliché topic. Everyone has a different definition to the true meaning of happiness. For Franklin Roosevelt, “happiness is not the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effo rt.” For Elbert Einstein, “if you want to live in a happy life, tie it to the goal, not the people or the things.” Although the two great men grant different definitions to happiness, there is something in common, that is, happiness derives from the capacity to solve problems. I believe that this is true. There is no denying that life is full of problems. Let’s take environmental pollution for example. In other worlds, in the middle of problems lies happiness.•作文预测:•成绩查询:•作文模板:• CET6考试:• CET6真题:• CET6答案:。

You can give explain to illustrate your point .You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.【参考范文】These days there is a general discussion about the issue of judging a person by their appearance. People’s opinions differ greatly concerning this phenomenon. Is it wise to judge a person by their appearance? It is definitely not. There are numerous reasons explaining this phenomenon. First and foremost, although good appearance is helpful to leave others a good impression in the first meeting, kindness and inner thought are the most important to make friends for all life time. Secondly, many facts reflect that some people with charming appearance make no successful events, while others without handsome appearance achieve a lot. Last but not the least, with the development of science and technology, plastic surgery can change ones appearance, so maybe the people with sourness only alter their appearance but not develop their virtue.Admittedly, it is unwise to judge a person by their appearance. So people should have more communication with others to find the beauty of their inner thought.第二套For this part , your are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay explaining why it is unwise to judge aperson by their appearance. You can give explain to illustrate your point .You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.【参考范文】There is an old saying that people never judge a book from its cover. From my point of view, this saying also applies to our attitudes towards others: never judge a person from their appearance. Because you never know one person’s true merits if only judging from their appearance. It is true that an attractive appearance is of great significance not only for daily life but also for the job. However, it is unwise to judge one person by the appearance for the following reasons. On the one hand, with the advancement of science technology and medical level, people can transform their surface by all means. On the other hand, the appearance should not be the merely criteria for judging an individual, considering that are more important factors, including Courteous, kind-hearted, honest and so on. In conclusion, it is unadvisable to judge a person by their appearance. That’s why I assert that we should pay more attention to one's inward and place high value on inner cultivation.第三套For this part, you are allowed30minutes to write an essay explaining why it is unwi se to judge a person by their appearance. You can give explain to illustrate your point .You should write at least150words but no more than200words.【六级作文范文】There is a Chinese saying goes like this:men cannot be judged by their looks.I canno t agree with this point of view any more.On the one hand, though a charming appearance will leave a good impression on othe rs,one’s look can seldom reflects his or her qualities, capacities and ethics. We cannot say those who are goodlooking are morecapable and more cultivated than those who are averagelooking or uglylooking. There are so many people who do not have good a ppearances have made great achievements for the progress of mankind, such as Steph en William Hawking who are even crippled. On the other hand, our appearances are d ecided by our genes, which are inborn, while our qualities can be cultivated as we gro w.We can enrich our minds by learning, but which cannot be reflected on the appeara nces.To summarize, judging people by appearance is unwise. Therefore I suggest that we s hould focus on one’s inner world rather than their appearance.2013年12月英语六级作文真题附范文(第1套):有意义的生活Directions: For this party you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay commenting on the remark "The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it." You can give examples to illustrate your point and then explain what you will do to make your life more meaningful. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words. How to Live a Meaningful Life?Among all the highlighted topics, one is "how to live a meaningful life".As for this topic, everyone's opinion varies. As the saying goes, "The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it." I cannot agree with it more.If one spends all his life pursuing benefits for himself, he will surely feel fruitless and meaningless when he gets old. From Nelson Mandela's life, we can get that he never wavered in his devotion to democracy, equality and learning. His life has been an inspiration in South Africa and throughout the world. In a life that symbolizes the triumph of human spirit, Nelson Mandela accepted the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize. His life, though limited, definitely lasts longer. That's a life worth living. Therefore, if there is a way to make my life more meaningful, I believe it should be to find something I'm interested in and also is helpful to others or the whole society. Only in this way can I keep my passion throughout my life.第二套1.Directions:For this part, you are allowed30minutes to write an essay about the impact of inform ation explosion by reffering to the saying"a wealth of information creates a poverty o f attention".You can cite examples to illustrate your point and thenexplain what you c an do to avoid being distracted by irrelevant information? You should write at least15 0words but no more than200words.【点评】本次作文主题围绕“信息爆炸给大众带来的困扰”,难度较小。
