We all need a healthy environment, but we produce waste every day and it does harm to our environment. Though we are young, we can still do something to help. In fact, even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. Here are some ideas for you to live a green life.
Remember these three words: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Reduce means “use less”. Don’t waste things. This saves money and redu ces pollution and waste going into the environment. Before we buy something new, think if it is really necessary or maybe the old one will be just as good! When we do buy things, choose local products if possible, and try not to buy too many things from abroad.
Reuse means “use again”. Use things for as long as possible. When we buy things, make sure that they last a long time. We should take care of them so that they will last, and we should repair them if we can instead of throwing them away and buying ne w ones. Don’t use a paper cup or a paper bag. It’s better to use a china cup and a lunch box because you can use them again.
Recycle means “change things into something else”. Although it takes energy to change something into something else, it’s better than throwing things away or burning them. Find out what can be recycled in your neighbourhood and take part in recycling programmes. We should also buy products made from recycled materials, such as recycled paper, to help save trees.

B Mistakes are great teachers
Mistakes are great teachers. Success comes to those who are willing to risk making mistakes to achieve their goals and wishes, and who are able to learn from those mistakes. And in order to learn from mistakes you must be willing to pay for them.
Mistakes can be very valuable, but when you try to get others to pay for your mistakes, then you lose the chance
to learn from them. When something goes wrong, it’s usually very easy to find someone else’s mistakes, but is that useful ? Of course not.
Much of the value of mistakes comes from the fact that they need to cost that must be paid. The person who learns the most from a mistake is the one who pays the price for that mistake.
When you make a mistake, what you shouldn’t do is run away from it. You need to accept it because you can learn a lot from it. The mistake has been made, so make the most of it. Pay the price, learn the lesson, and grow that much stronger

No one wants to overspend on their supermarket shopping but to save money every week. Preparations start before you even go into the store. Here is how to make sure you are always getting your shopping for the best price.
●Create your list.
Write a full list which includes two parts, something necessary for a living and something for fun. With a strict list, you won’t easily change your mind to buy more than you need.
●Check the cupboards.
One of the easiest way s to overspend is buying what you don’t need. Before leaving, take time to check what products you have in the house, especially in the cupboards. Buy what you badly need and it will help you save money before you step into the supermarkets.
●Know your budget(预算)
Keep in mind how much you plan to spend. It is possible to get your shopping for less, but you need to wisely pay attention to the products and brands you buy to support savings.
●Compare prices
You should make a comparison between the prices offered by different supermarkets. So if you try to buy your shopping for less, compare the prices in different shops, which makes sure that you are always visiting the cheapest supermarket for your shop.
●Choose the best time for shopping
If you know your supermarket well, there will certainly be a preferred time to shop. This could be at the quietest time to make sure you get peace while working out the total cost of your shopping. And a few hours before closing helps you to get a special offer. That will bring down the cost of your shopping.

I once believed that a friend is a friend all the way. Now I have changed my ideas about friendships.
1. Friends of convenience(便利). They can be the people who live next door or the mothers of our children’s closest friends. Friends of convenience are good indeed. They’ll help us when we need it. They’ll look after our cats when we go on holidays. But we don’t ever get too close or tell too much. Between us, we’ll talk about being overweight but not about being sad or disappointed(失望). However, people still find it necessary to make friends like this.
2. Special-interest friends. These friendships aren’t deeply personal or emotional(感情上的). They lie in some shared interests, so we may have an office friend, a tennis friend, or even a shopping friend.
3. Historical friends. We all have a friend who knew u s when…maybe we were back in the second grade of primary school, when our family lived in that two-room flat downtown. He or she was the first, the only friend we told our secrets to.
The years have gone by, and we have gone different ways. But we’re still a personal part of each other’s past. We know how we looked before our teeth were straightened(矫正), and our getting together makes us think of an earlier part of ourselves, which is important and never lost.
4. Cross-generational friends. These are friendships that from across generations(代). I have in my own life a precious(珍贵的) friend, a woman of 65, who is clever, who listens well, and who means not only an ideal mother to me but also the person I’d like to be when I grow up.

Eat breakfast every morning

Get enough sleep
Poor sleep can influence our memory and learning. It can also cause traffic accident! Studies show that people who don’t get enough sleep seem to get into more accidents. So stay safe and get enough sleep!
Take a walk every day
Walking is an easy way to exercise. You’d better meet friends for a walk, not for a meal. As you walk, you will see the beautiful world around you. Once you try, you’ll find that adding a walk into your daily life is very easy.
Join social groups
Social groups can provide support. They might include sport teams, art or music groups. The people in the group can offer advice and can help each other in difficult times. Also, being in a group keeps your mind busy. And active mind is a healthy mind.
Have a hobby
A hobby could be running, reading or making something with your hands. Hobbies help people to relax and rest. Hobbies bring us joy too.

We all dream about things that we would like to do we hope to achieve in the future. But are everybody’s dreams the same? Here are some of the findings of a survey about hopes and dreams, in which thousands of students across China took part in it.
What are the hopes of teenagers? We received several different answers to the question: what would you like to do after finishing your education? I t seems some students would like to start work as soon as they can, so that they can help offer better lives to their parents. Other students hope to continue studying after they finish school and to go to university. Although money is important, many teenagers said they want to do jobs they enjoy. According to the survey, the most popular choice of job is computer programming.
What are the dreams of teenagers? Teenagers have all kinds of dreams. Some are more realistic than others. For example, many students said they would like to be volunteers if Beijing could hold the World Cup, maybe working as translators or tour guides. And quite a few said they dream of going to the moon one day.
According to the survey, less realistic dreams are also common, but many students reported that they were willing to work hard to achieve their dreams. Quite a few dream of becoming famous, perhaps famous sports people or singers. Some said they’d like to have exciting trips; one student said she’d love to sail across the Pacific Ocean. And then there are dreams that are impossible; three students said they’d like to be able to fly!
Conclusion It was clear from the survey that teenagers have similar hopes. It seems that most students hope to have a good education and find a good job. On the other hand, students dream of very different things: good things,
