Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents(section B ) Reading—Maybe You Should Learn to Relax

教学设计

一教学目标

1. 知识目标

（1）能够正确的使用以下词汇及表达：compare... with, in one’s opinion, compete with, cut out,crazy, pressure ,及I agree , I disagree等。

（2）通过速读与精读的结合，理解文章内容及思想，把握根据上下文猜词意，根据首句定中心，及定位词等基本阅读技巧。

2.能力目标:

学会利用阅读策略阅读文章，提炼文章主旨大意的能力，培养学生良好的写作能力。

3.情感目标:

通过对本课的学习，帮助学生积极面对成长中的烦恼，学会解决问题的办法。使学生懂得学习要劳逸结合，要理解父母，并有勇气面对各种困难。帮助学生逐步建立正确，积极，向上的生活态度和价值观。

二教学重点

掌握根据上下文猜测词意等阅读策略，在理解语篇的基础上进行归纳表达及发表个人观点及建议的能力。

三教学难点

通过在阅读中学习不同观点从而形成自己的观点，并表达出来。

这种由阅读，口语到写作的提升对学生的把握有一定难度。教学中，我采用辩论的形式让学生积极参与，大胆发言，努力发展学生的发散思维。最后采用给父母写一封信来陈述自己的观点的训练，使阅读能力得到提升。

四教学方法

略读与精读等阅读策略教学，任务型教学，听说教学等。

五教学过程

Step1 Warm-up &Lead-in

1．Greetings.

2. Watch a talk show

T: Do you have to take these after-school classes?

T: What after-school classes do you have?

S1: I have piano class.

S2:..........

T: You have to take so many after-school classes. You are so busy, but I think you should learn to relax.

设计意图: 通过看talk show，引起学生共鸣，并对学生课后学习进行了调查，了解学生实际课外生活情况，引人本课话题。

Step2 while reading

1.From the title and the picture, predict what the passage is about.

2.Fast reading: 快速阅读，了解文章的主体内容。

Read and match the main idea of each paragraph.

Para. 1 A Life for Cathy Taylor’s three children is very

busy.

Para. 2 B Doctors say too much stress is not good for a

child.

Para. 3 C Children today are busier because of too many

after-school classes.

Para. 4 D Linda doesn't agree to push kids too hard. 设计意图：通过快速阅读，了解文章内容，并让学生了解总结段落大意的方法（每段首句的重要性）。

3．Careful reading:

(1) Skim Para.1 and finish the mind map.

设计意图：重点是突破本段的词汇短语的学习与掌握。

由compete 引出阅读策略：guessing the meaning ，进行阅读策略的讲解。
