the Broken Bridge was an old stone arch bridge.It is the best place to enjoy snow in winter.When the sun rises, the snow on the south side of the bridge will melt while the other side is still covered with snow.Looking from afar, the bridge is like a broken bridge.Here is Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake.I t is simply the name given to the island park which is embellished with delicate pavilions , zigzag bridges, fascinating rocks and exotic trees and flowers.It is so named because in the pavilion over there the great poet Baijuyi of the Tang Dynasty would take a rest after drinking a little too much, and watch the moon over the lake.Well, we’re going to visit the Gushan Hill.It joins the Xileng Bridge in the west and the Bai Embankment in the east.It is formed by the explosion of a volcano.The emperors of different dynasties took the place only for their own use.In China, emperors exclusively call themselves Gu, so it si called Gushan Hill.Now, we’re passing by the Xileng Bridge, you can see a white marble statue of a lady in the back of the hill.Her left hand is on the waist and a sword in her right hand.She is Ms.Qiu Jin, who was the women liberation pioneer fighting against the Qing Government and finally was arrested and killed by the Qing Government.We’re heading slowly to the east.On the right of the Xileng Press, there is a building with a mixture of Chinese and West styles.It’s the well-known restaurant called Louwailou.It was built in 1848 and started to receive foreigners in 1952.You can enjoy delicious food-West Lake Vinegar Fish which is the famous fish of the restaurant at your convenience.So much for the lakeside scenery.Here we are at the the Santanyinyue Island.There are 3 small pagodas on the lake.The pagodas are unique in shape.The lower part of the pagoda looks like a ball, and the top of the pagoda seems like a calabash.And there are 5 small holes in the
pagoda.What’s more, more beautiful scene appears in the evening.At night when the full moon shines, people would light the candles and put thin paper on the outlets of the holes.The glimmering light will shine through the paper.Then you’ll see a spectacle of 32 moons at the West Lake.I’m not kidding.Sometimes people burn the candles in the 15 holes on the 3 pagodas and present you with the image of 15 moons.The 15 moons are reflected in the lake and you’ll see 30 moons in the water.In addition, plus the one in the sky and its reflection in the wat er, there are 32 moons altogether.Actually, there’s only one moon in the sky and others are all the reflections of the moon and pagodas in the water.Now we come to the biggest pavilion on the West Lake.Have a west here and we will meet in 15 minutes.

Good morning!ladies and gentlemen： Today we will go and visit the yuelu academy!yuelu academy is one of the four famous academies in china, and it was established by zhudong, magistrate of tanzhou prefecture in 976a.d at the time of northern song dynasty.the academy accepted disciples throughout the song, yuan, ming and qing dynasties.it was only in 1903 that the academy was transformed from a school of traditional confucian learning to an insitute of higher learning and in 1926 it was officially named hunan university.Early in 1015, emperor zhen zong of the song dynasty awarded the academy hid majesty“s own handwriting ”yuelu academy“ on a tablet.form then on many famous scholars and great thinkers gave lectures here, among them were zhangshi, zhuxi and wangyangming, thus making a great impact on the province”s culture and education.most of the existing buildings here were constructions of the ming and qing dynasties, and the bulk of the engraved stone plates and inscribed tablets have all been kept intact, in 1956 the academy was listed as a historical site at the provincial level and later, in 1988 it became a historical site at the state level.the last restoration project started in 1981 and the major part was completed in 1987.Now, here we are at the “he xi platform”, “he xi” means the “the splendour of the sunrise”, it was named by zhuxi, a great idealist philosopher of the confucian school during the song dynasty, the platform was first built on the top of yuelu hill, by zhanshi, and later in 1528, a pavilion was built on it, but it became deserted with the passing time.in 1790 luodian, the master of the academy, built a platform
