一、教育国际化
教育走向国际化成为关注的热点,本话题为热议校园生活话题,与2004年旅游景点介绍2006年考查的名校校园开放有一致性。

A Brief Introduction to the University
Distinguished guests,
Welcome to our university. Before you start to look around, allow me to give you a brief account of the school.
Founded in 1927, our university is one of this city’s earliest universities of liberal arts. It is staffed with an excellent faculty, and has a total enrollment of over 10,000 students. In the past years, it has turned out numerous
well-qualified students and found its graduates active in professions of all walks of life.
Since its establishment, the university has always steered itself toward the objective that its students have an overall healthy development. Not only does it provide the students with basic academic courses, but it manages to expose them to the up-to-date knowledge. Besides, students are free to participate in colorful campus activities and social practice, which are intended for broadening their mind and developing their potential talent.
Currently, both our faculty and students are making every effort to improve the quality.
二、四级真题:网购Shopping on the internet
1. 现在流行网上购物
2. 网上购物的利弊
3. 我的看法
Nowadays, with the ever rapid development and increasing popularity of the information technology , shopping on the Internet has been a fashion, especially among the youngsters.
Online shopping has made our daily life more convenient and comfortable. For example , shopping on the internet can save students a great deal of time on the way between home and store, so they would be able to concentrate more time and energy on their academic work. The internet has shorten the distance between manufacturers and consumers and thus we can even buy goods in other countries .On the other hand , lack of the face to face deal makes online
shopping less reliable and trustworthy. What’ s more the delivery will increase the risk of items’ damage.
In my opinion, shopping on the internet is an irreversible trend. More and more people will be accustomed to it. It will be much more popular in the near future. And at the same time we should take some measures to make it perfe ct.
三、心理健康How to keep psychologically healthy?
One in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of the year. When you fail to manage these problems, they are likely to cause various mental illnesses and physical illnesses.
The causes of mental health problems often vary a lot from one case to another. In today’s society, a good number of people are suffering from heavy pressure. Others are lacking in communication skills and feel they are living in an isolated world. In addition, a lot of people are ignorant of psychological knowledge about how to keep mentally fit.
There are a lot of ways to curb mental health problems and keep psychologically healthy. Firstly, find the real cause of your mental health problem and see whether you can do something to make a change. Secondly, learn to relax ourselves and take exercises to release the pressure. After all, your health is what counts most. Finally, you may find it helpful to talk to your partner, a relative or a friend about your problem, or seek support and advice from a psychological consultant.
四、城市化Urbanization
Presently, there is a tendency that a growing number of people are moving from countryside into city annually. A century ago, less than five percent of all people lived in cities. By the middle of this century it could be seventy percent, or almost six and a half billion people.
Urbanization can lead to social and economic progress, but also put pressure on cities to provide housing and services. With the increasing number of individuals pouring into cities, the worsening inequalities, driven by social divisions and differences in wealth, could result in violence and crime unless cities plan better. Another issue is urban expansion. This is where cities expand quickly into rural areas, sometimes at a much faster rate than urban population growth.
From my perspective, the government is expected to implement laws and regulations to limit the exceedingly growing of the urban population. As college
students, we can seek employment back to our hometown and I am sure a promising future is awaiting us there.
五、就业选大城市还是小城镇Big City or Small Town
1. 很多的大学生毕业后留在大城市工作;
2. 也有人选择到小城镇开始自己的职业生涯;
3. 结合自己的实际情况谈谈自己的想法。
Want to be a small fish in a big pond or the other way round? Every graduate faces this question when he starts his career. A large number of college graduates prefer to stay in the big cities. To them, big cities mean more experiences, more opportunities to see the big world and more space for career development. At the same time, higher salary is another temptation.
But some other graduates want to stay in small towns. Even though there may not be many big companies, they can have a quieter and less competitive life. Another reason is that they can be a big fish in a small pond. They can easily get the managemen t’s attention and may win promotion earlier.
As far as I am concerned, I prefer to start in a metropolis like Shanghai. A good begin is half the battle, and in Shanghai I can find a job in a big company where I can meet people from different places and cultures. I will learn from them what I can not get from textbooks.
六、就业选择
Nowadays, with the rapid development of our society, almost all the graduates have to face a choice: to get a job first or to find the job you like first? As far as I am concerned, the graduates should get a job first and then choose the job they like. The reasons can be listed as follows:
First of a ll, for many students, even they themselves don’t know what kind of job they want to choose. For these students, to get a job first can help them find out their favorite job through trying different work. What’s more, the graduates are all under great employment pressure. There are thousands of graduates need to find their jobs every year. So if the graduates don’t get their jobs as soon as they leave the school, they will miss the best chance to get a job. Last but not least, one can accumulate experience and broaden horizons in his or her first job. It’s certain that these experiences will contribute to future job. As the fa mous saying goes “One should apply theory to practice.”, students should apply what they have learned in class to their jobs, thus enhancing their working skills.
Above all, nowadays under the greater employment pressure, the graduates should get a job first and then to choose the job they like. Since students can have a better understanding of what they like and gain experience in the first job.
七、六级真题:考证热the certificate craze
Presently, training schools of various kinds have gained increasing popularity not only for college students, but also for people who have stepped out of the ivory tower. They spring up like mushrooms to cater for people’s craze for certificates. We may wonder: what might be the cause of the craze?
The primary reason, as is known to all, is the fierce competition and contest in the job market as a result of the population explosion. This is true especially after the expansion of college admission. As a result, a master’s degree, let alone a bachelor’s degree, cannot guarantee a job with a decent salary. In this case, an increasing number of youngsters burn midnight oil to pass endless examinations so that they may obtain an edge over others in the fight for desired positions, because they are convinced that the certificate – rewards of the exams – will qualify them for the posts they hope for.
Apart from the competition for jobs, another equally important factor is the desire for knowledge. Some students, study-holics in the eyes of other people, are always craving for new knowledge in diverse fields but afraid to stop halfway in the pursuit. For these individuals, a certificate is a spur to continuous effort. For this reason, they are often seen on the way from one examination to another for a new certificate.
No doubt, hard work for certificates can benefit us in many ways. It can bring us knowledge and access to jobs we desire. But surely a certificate is not everything. It cannot provide us with creativity, which is a must for invention and innovation. It even cannot give us security for a job. The best winner is the training school: they earn millions of dollars from the certificate craze.
