The woman in this picture is wearing a (1)_r_e_d__ dress and a pair of (2)_w_h__it_e__ shoes. She is carrying a white bag too. This is interesting because red and white are very different colours.
Tell me why. Give some examples in our life.
Look at the picture and answer the questions.
1. How many people are there in the picture? One.
2. Where is the woman? Near a river.
Red represents (3)_p_o_w__e_r_ and (4)_s_tr_e_n_g_t_h__. Maybe she feels weak and that is why she is wearing red—she just wants to make herself look more powerful.
2) 用and连接的两个单词或短语做主语 时，谓语动词用复数。但是如果用 and连接主语表示一个概念，谓语动 词用单数。
e.g. Bread and butter is my favourite breakfast. 黄油面包是我最喜欢的早餐。

e.g. The question is when he can arrive at the hotel. 问题是，他什么时候可以到达酒店。

e.g. Your red tie matches your white
