Starter Module 2 My English lesson
Unit 2 What's your number?
Step 1Lead­in
1.Review the knowledge in last lesson by greeting the students.
2.Ask the students to play the game “Say the do”.
Step 2Vocabulary study
1.Play the recordings in Activitie 1-3 and have the students read after them.
2.Write the correct numbers in Activity 7.
Step 3Dialogue study
1.Listen to the dialogue in Activity 4 and role­play the dialogue in groups of 3.
2.Divide the class into groups of 4 and let them make a dialogue about asking each other's telephone numbers. Then act it out in front of the whole class.
Step 4Playing a game
Play a game in groups of three like this:
Student A holds up three fingers, and student B asks “Can you spell three?”
St udent C spells “T­H­R­E­E”.
Step 5Listening and writing
1.Ask the students to read the telephone numbers in pairs in Activity 5.
2.Tell the students to listen and point the numbers in Activity 5.
3.Ask the students to listen and write the numbers in Activity 6, and check the answers with the whole class.
4.Listen and plete the table in Activity 8.
Step 6Practice
1.Work in pairs. Divide the class into groups of 4. Let them ask each other's student numbers in groups and write them down.

2.Make a survey about the group members' telephone numbers like the following table.
Step 7Language points(详解见学案部分)

Step 8Homework
完成第5课时分层训练的Ⅰ题和Ⅲ题。

Columbus's Telephone Number
Little Mary: I find in my history book there is always such number (1451—1560) after the name Christopher Columbus. Would you please explain why, sir?
Little Rose: I can tell her, sir. It was Columbus's telephone number!
