Abstract：ThepresentstudyaimedtodevelopanindirectELISAfordetectingantibodytoporcine epidemicdiarrheavirus（PEDV）spike （S）proteinandanalyzethedynamicofmaternalspecial antibodiesintheserumfrom neonatalpigletsbornbysowsimmunized with PEDVinactivated vaccine.AnindirectELISA wasestablishedusingrecombinantpartialPEDVspike （S1）protein asdetectingantigen.Andanti-PEDV antibodiesintheimmunizedsows′colostrum，serafrom sowsatthedeliverydayandfromtheneonatalpigletsat1，7，14，21，28and35daysweredetectedwiththeestablishedELISA.ResultssuggestedthattheELISA methodcouldbeusedtodetectthespecialantibodiesagainstPEDV withoutcrossreactionswiththoseantibodiestoclassical swinefevervirus，porcinecircovirustype2，porcinereproductiveandrespiratorysyndromevirus，
