摘要：PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of damages being done to an article due to the underhang or overhang by making either or both of deck board and beam freely expandable and contractible within a predetermined range. CONSTITUTION:Either or both of beam stopper 9 and deck board stopper 11 act on either or both of beam 3 and deck board 4 at the places with which a beam expansion and contraction mechanism 5 and a deck board expansion and contraction mechanism 6 are engaged in order to engage these stoppers 9 and 11 with the edges of the beam 3 and the deck board 4, whereby the stretched condition of the expansion and contraction mechanisms 5 and 6 can be retained. Conversely, in the case of contraction of the beam 3 and the deck rd 4, by forcing inwards the expansion and contraction mechanisms 5 and 6, the expansion and contraction mechanisms 5 and 6 can be inserted into the beam 3 and the deck board 4. Therefore, since the deck board on a pallet is dimensionally adjustable easily to conform with the dimension of articles to be stacked thereon, the damages done to the article caused by the underhang or overhang can be reduced.
