Parents raising five or more children were common. Over the years, the size of the family is becoming smaller. One reason for this is an increase in the cost of living.Generally children attend schools for more years than they used to, making them financially dependent on their families longer. Moreover, children nowadays are better dressed and have more money to spend on entertainment. The parents are usually responsible for all the expenses. And families are less close than they used to be. More and more American mothers work away from home. The break-up of the family appears when the parents divorce. A lot of children in the U. S. live part of their young lives with only one parent. Children grow up feeling unsettled as they are moved betweentheir parents. Single parents often marry other single parents. In this type of family, unrelated children are forced to develop brother or sister relationship. The situations of many American families today are not good. However, recent signs show that things are getting better. The divorce rate is declining (降低).

1Using Electronic Software: Problems and SolutionsHi everyone! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about using electronic software like apps, games, and computer programs. These can be really fun and helpful, but they can also cause some problems if we're not careful. I'll share some of the issues I've run into and how I've learned to deal with them. The first big problem is getting way too focused on the software and forgetting about everything else. It's so easy to get sucked into an awesome game or app and spending way more time than you meant to. Before you know it, hours have gone by! I've missed snack time, forgotten to do chores, and stayed up too late more times than I can count because I lost track of time.My mom and dad say I have to "manage my time" better, which means being aware of how long I'm using software and setting limits. Now I use a timer to remind myself when I need to take a break or log off. I also make sure to schedule my softwaretime for after I've finished important stuff like homework and chores. That helps a lot.Another issue is getting crazy distracted and not being able to focus when I actually need to use software for learning or homework. There are so many fun apps, videos, and games just a click away. I'll start working on an assignment but then get sidetracked and next thing I know I'm watching cat videos instead of doing my math worksheet. The solution I've found is to turn off notifications and exit out of apps or websites that aren't related to my work. Basically, get rid of temptations! I also try to work in a distraction-free space without my phone or other devices around. Sometimes parents or teachers have to block certain websites too when it's really important work time. It's not easy, but eliminating those distractions helps篇2Using Electronic Software: Problems and SolutionsHi friends! Today I want to talk about something very important - using electronic software on computers, phones and tablets. This is something we all do a lot these days. But there aresome tricky problems that can happen when we use software. Don't worry though, I'll share some solutions too!The first big problem is viruses. You know what those are right? They are bad programs that can sneak into your device and mess things up. Viruses can delete your files, slow everything down, and cause all kinds of chaos. No one wants a virus! But how do they get in? Sometimes by opening unsafe email attachments or downloading bad apps. Viruses can even spread through messages sometimes. The solution is to have good anti-virus software installed on your computer or device. My parents make sure our family computer has one. The anti-virus program watches for any viruses trying to get in and stops them. It's like a fierce bouncer at a club, only letting the good programs inside! You should also be careful about what you download and open, especially from people you don't know. If something seems sketchy, don't open it.Another problem is losing your work when the software crashes or freezes up. Oh man, that's the worst! You're typing away on a big essay or project, putting in so much hard work. Then bam! The program stops responding and you lose everything. All that effort...gone. Why does this happen?Sometimes there is a bug or error in the coding that causes it to break. Other times, it could be because too many programs are running at once on your device and it gets overloaded. The best solution is to save your work frequently - like every few minutes. That way if it does crash, you only lose the last few minutes of work instead of everything. Get into the habit of tapping "Save" or "Save As" all the time. It's better to be safe than sorry! Having backup files is a good idea too. Some programs even have an auto-save option which is really handy.Another smart solution is to not run too many programs at the same time if you can avoid it. That overloads the device's memory and makes crashing more likely. Just stick to using one or two bigger programs at a time. And if you do get that dreaded "Not Responding" error, you may be able to close just that program and re-open it without losing your work.Okay, one more problem - not being able to understand the software and how it works. This is especially hard with more complicated programs that have a ton of menus, options and settings. Where do you even start?? It can be really frustrating when you can't figure out how to do something simple. The solution is to look for tutorials, either within the software's built-in help section, or on websites. There are lots ofgreat tutorials online that break things down step-by-step with pictures. Software companies want you to understand their products, so they make learning materials. If you still get really stuck, ask an adult or teacher for assistance. Sometimes you just need someone to walk you through it in person once or twice until you've got the hang of it.Those are some of the major problems we can run into with software, and ways to prevent or solve them. Viruses, crashes, and confusion - those are the big headaches! But using protection, saving frequently, managing your programs carefully, and looking for help can all go a long way.Software is a powerful tool that lets us do amazing things. We just have to use it responsibly and safely. With some care and know-how under your belt, you'll be computing like a pro in no time! Thanks for listening, and happy software-ing!篇3Using Software on the Computer and Tablet - The Good, The Bad, and How to Fix It!Hi friends! Today I want to talk about something very important - using software programs on our computers and tablets. We all love cool apps and games, but there can be sometricky issues too. I've had my fair share of problems, but I've also learned some great solutions along the way. Let me share my experiences with you!The Good Things About SoftwareFirst, let's start with all the awesome stuff software lets us do! With programs and apps, we can:• Play super fun games - anything from running and jumping to solving mysteries• Learn new things through interactive lessons and activities• Create amazing art, videos, music and more• Connect with friends and family by video chatting• Find any information we need on the internetIsn't that great? Software opens up a huge world of entertainment, education and communication. My favorite game is the one where you have to build train tracks across different lands. And I love using the painting app to make crazy colorful pictures. Software is really cool! The Bad - Problems We Can Run IntoAs great as software is though, it doesn't always work perfectly. Sometimes we run into issues and problems like:The program freezes or gets stuckError messages pop up that we don't understandThings take forever to load or openWe can't get the software to do what we wantGames or apps sometimes crash and closeWhen things like this happen, it's really frustrating! You're in the middle of something important or fun, and then bam - you get stopped by an issue. We've all felt that sinking feeling in our stomach when our favorite game freezes. No fair! What Causes Software Problems? But why do these problems even happen in the first place? There are a few main reasons:• Bugs or errors in the program code that need to get fixed• Not having the latest software updates installed• Your computer or device doesn't meet the system requirements• Too many programs running at once on the device• Viruses or malware messing things upNo matter how good the developers are, buggy code can slip through. And if you don't update your software, you'll miss important patches. Older computers also struggle more with newer, bigger programs. That's why we need to take some preventative steps!Solutions for Smoother Software UseSo what can we do to avoid issues and make our software experiences better? Here are some top tips:Restart the device firstOne of the simplest fixes is restarting your computer, tablet or phone. This clears out the memory and gives everything a fresh start. It's kind of like taking a break at recess!Check for updatesBefore running a new program, always check if you need to update it or update your device's operating system first. Having the latest version really helps.Close other programsIf you have too many apps and programs open at once, it can really slow things down. Close whatever you're not using to free up memory.Ask for newer hardwareOlder computers and devices get sluggish over time. They just can't keep up with modern software demands. If yours is really struggling, you may need to ask your parents for a faster, more up-to-date model.Run a virus scanMalware and viruses cause all kinds of issues - from strange error messages to programs freezing. Make sure to run a virus scan regularly to catch anything harmful.Troubleshoot error messagesWhen you get an error code or message, don't just brush it off! Take a minute to look it up online. There are lots of guides explaining common errors and how to fix them.Be patient and take breaksSometimes we just get frustrated and want to force things to work. But being patient and walking away for a bit can help. Today I want to talk to you about something very important – using computer software safely. We all love playing games, doing homework, and surfing the internet on our computers and tablets. But did you know that if we're not careful, we could run into some problems? Don't worry though, I'll share some tips to help you avoid these issues and have a great time with your devices! The first thing we need to watch out for is viruses. You've probably heard about these nasty bugs that can infect your computer and cause all sorts of trouble. Viruses can delete your files, slow down your device, and even let hackers steal your information! Scary stuff, right? But don't worry, there are ways to protect yourself. One of the most important things is to only download software, games, and other files from trusted sources. That means sticking to well-known websites run by big companies, like the app stores for your tablet or phone. Stay away from sketchy websites that offer free downloads of paid games or programs – those are prime places to pick up viruses.Another great way to stay safe is to use good antivirus software. This is kind of like a security guard for your computer, checking everything that comes in and kicking out any nasty viruses it finds. Most new devices come with antivirus installed, but you might need to update it or get a new one if it's been a while. Ask your parents or a teacher for help picking a good antivirus program. Now let's talk about something else that can cause problems – too many programs running at once! You know how sometimes your computer starts to feel really slow and sluggish? That's often because you have way too many apps and programs open. It's kind of like if you tried to play ten games at once – your brain would get overloaded! The fix here is simple – just close anything you're not actively using. That means quitting out of apps when you're done instead of leaving them open in the background. It's also a good idea to restart your computer every once in a while to clear out its memory. Treat your device like you treat your bedroom – clean it up regularly so it doesn't get too messy and disorganized!Speaking of disorganization, let's talk about files and folders. We've all been there – you saved a report or picture somewhere on your computer, but now you can't find it! Argh, so frustrating. The best way to avoid this is to get organized from the start. Create different folders for different types of files – one for schoolwork, one for pictures, one for games, etc. Give them clear names so you know what's what. And when you save a new file, take an extra few seconds to put it in the right folder right away. It'll save you so much time and headaches later on!There's one more issue I want to mention – accidentally damaging or deleting your files. I'm sure you've never done this, but we've all made mistakes like knocking our laptops off a tableor spilling a drink on the keyboard. Oops! Unfortunately, accidents do happen sometimes. The best way to protect yourself is to back up your important files regularly. That means making an extra copy that's saved somewhere else, like on an external hard drive or cloud storage. That way if something terrible does happen to your main device, you'll still have all your hard work and precious memories safe and sound. Most devices these days have backup options built right in to make it super easy. Just set a reminder to back up your files every week or two.Well, those are the main things to keep in mind when using software on your computers and devices! I know it sounds like a lot, but don't stress. Just take things slowly, follow the tips I mentioned, and ask a trusted adult for help if you ever run into trouble. Computers and technology are awesome tools that let us learn, explore, and have fun in so many ways. Stay safe out there, and happy computing!篇5Using Electronic Software: The Good, The Bad, and The SolutionsHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm a 4th grader. Today I want to talk to you about something that is a huge part of my life - electronic software! Things like apps, video games, and computer programs are so much fun. But they can also cause some problems if we're not careful. Let me tell you about some of the issues I've run into and how I've learned to deal with them. The first big problem is getting wayyyy too caught up in the software and forgetting about everything else. I used to play video games for hourssss every day after school. I'd get so into my games that I wouldn't do my homework or chores. And I definitely didn't get any exercise or play outside at all. My mom had to set strict time limits and I wasn't allowed any screen time until my work was done. That was a good solution, but it's also important to have self-control. Now I'm better at monitoring myself and knowing when to take breaks. Maybe set a timer to remind yourself to get up and move around every so often. Don't forget to eat meals and drink water too - I used to get so focused that I'd skip lunch and get dehydrated without realizing it!Speaking of health, another issue is staring at screens for way too long. Looking at those bright displays puts a lot of strain on our eyes. And sitting in one position while we're glued to ourdevices isn't good for our bodies either. I've started following the 20-20-20 rule - every 20 minutes, I look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. That gives my eyes a break from the close-up screen. Getting up and stretching or doing some jumping jacks really helps too.Probably the biggest danger with software is cyberbullying and inappropriate content. The internet can be a pretty mean place sometimes. There are a lot of rude people hiding behind screens and spreading hurtful messages about others. If you ever get a mean comment or message, the best thing is to not respond and tell a trusted adult right away. Block those bullies! There's also a ton of stuff online that just isn't suitable for kids our age. You might accidentally come across violence, bad language, or even pornography if you're not careful. A good rule is to never click on anything that seems questionable or makes you uncomfortable. Stick to websites and software you know are kid-friendly and age-appropriate.My parents have parental controls set up on all my devices to try and filter out the inappropriate stuff. But you can never be too careful online. If you do happen to encounter something yucky, exit out right away and tell a parent so they can help make sure it doesn't happen again.Something else we have to watch out for with software is oversharing personal information. A lot of apps and games want to know things like your name, age, location, phone number, email address and more. But giving out too many personal details, especially to something you're not 100% sure is safe and legit, can lead to big privacy issues down the road.Whenever a program asks for that kind of info, I always check with my parents first before entering anything. They help me determine if it's truly necessary or if I can skip it. And we never use my full real name or share specifics like our home address online. Just play it safe and don't give out private info you're not completely sure about.Last but not least, software can sometimes be addictive and cause kids to become anti-social. I've had friends who got wayyyy too obsessed with a new gaming app to the point where they ignored everyone around them in the real world. They missed out on fun activities and their school work suffered because all they cared about was getting to the next level. That's not healthy at all.If you find yourself becoming borderline addicted, taking breaks and setting firm time limits is key. Sometimes a break from that game or app altogether can help reset things. Hangout with friends in person, pick up a hobby, read books, get outdoors - there's so much more to life than just staring at screens! Those are some of the biggest problems I've encountered with using electronic software. But there are always solutions if we're smart and stay aware of the potential downsides. Moderation is everything - software can be really fun and educational when we use it responsibly. Just remember to give your brain and body breaks, protect yourself online, and don't let the software take over your whole life. With some caution and self-control, we can safely enjoy all the awesome things technology has to offer us kids these days. Stay safe out there!篇6Using Electronic Software: Issues and SolutionsHi friends! Today I want to talk about using electronic software on computers, tablets and phones. Software is all the programs and apps we use to do fun things like play games, watch videos, and even do homework. While using software can be really cool and helpful, there are some issues or problems we need to be aware of. Don't worry though, I'll share some solutions too!Issue #1: Viruses and MalwareOne big issue with using software is dealing with viruses and malware. These are like tiny computer bugs that can sneak into your device and cause all kinds of trouble! Viruses can delete your files, crash your programs, and even steal your personal information. No fun at all! Malware is similar - it's bad software that hackers use to break into your computer or mobile device.Solution: To avoid viruses and malware, it's really important to only download software and apps from official stores like the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Don't click on random links or download things from sketchy websites. It's also a good idea to have anti-virus software installed that can detect and remove viruses for you.Issue #2: Inappropriate ContentAnother issue, especially for kids, is coming across inappropriate content online like bad language, violence, or things for older kids and adults. The internet has lots of cool educational stuff, but there's also stuff we shouldn't see at our age. This issue can happen in games, videos, websites and more.Solution: The best solution is to have parental controls set up on your devices by a parent or trusted adult. Parental controlsallow them to block or filter inappropriate websites, games, videos etc. It's also really important to only visit and use websites, games and software that are made for kids your age.Issue #3: Too Much Screen TimeThese days, lots of kids spend way too much time staring at screens instead of playing outside, reading books, or spending time with family and friends. Using software can be really addicting and make us lose track of time. Too much screen time is bad for our eyes, posture, sleep habits and even our moods.Solution: A good solution is to set reasonable time limits for using devices and software, like maybe 1-2 hours per day maximum. Parents can help set these limits, but we need to be honest about following them too. It's also a good idea to take regular breaks from screens to rest our eyes and get our bodies moving. Maybe set a timer to remind yourself!Issue #4: Personal Information and PrivacyWhen we use a lot of different software and sign up for accounts, we often have to enter personal information like our name, age, birthday, location etc. The issue is that sometimes this private data can get shared in ways we don't want, especially with companies that make the software.Solution: The best solution is to avoid sharing any personal information online unless you absolutely have to and your parents say it's ok. When possible, use settings to keep your profiles private and anonymous. Parents can also enable parental controls to prevent you from sharing private data without their permission.Issue #5: CyberbullyingUnfortunately, some kids and even adults use software and the internet to bully others by sending mean messages, sharing embarrassing photos/videos without consent, or excluding others online. This cyberbullying can be really hurtful and have serious negative impacts.Solution: The best solutions are to refuse to participate in any cyberbullying, block and report anyone who is bullying, and tell a trusted adult like your parents or teacher immediately if you experience or witness it happening. It's also important to be kind and respectful to others in the digital world, just like in the real world. Those are some of the biggest issues I see with using different software and technology, along with potential solutions. At the end of the day, there are a lot of awesome ways software can educate us and help us have fun! We just need to learn touse it responsibly and safely. If we're smart about it, software can be super cool.Let me know if you have any other questions! It's important we help each other navigate the digital world in a positive way. That's what friends are for! Thanks for reading, and happy safe software using!。
