Additionally three possibilities for the design of the pneumatic connection are shown; it is very important, that the minimal flow areas are not smaller than the nominal size of the valves: for EWS 3/6 at least approx. 30 mm², for EWS 3/4 at least approx. 15 mm².There must be recesses (ø26 in the sketch) in the fitting block to prevent damages of the O-rings while fitting the cartridge into the block, the inner edges must be chamfered. Because of the valves leakage the fitting block must be exhausted at both axial ends. Axial torques must be prevented from the fitted cartridge. When assembling ordisassembling cartridge and block the cartridge has to be moved exactly axial to prevent damages at cartridge, O-rings or fitting block.。

Optimum compression in the seal’s final assembly state, secure support in the housing,conservation of hygienic properties in the process and minimum wear (even under extreme load) are important factors.To ensure optimum seal design, FEM analysis (Finite Element Method) was used. The use of Plug & Seal as a connection pipe in an EGR system results in reliable sealing and acoustic decoupling. See item 6.c.Rotate all fan shafts by hand to make sure they turn freely.d.Check fan motors for proper rotation. Directional arrows on fancowls or housings indicate correct rotation.e.Clear fans of any trash or debris that may have accumulatedduring shutdown.f.Check make-up valve for shut-off ability. Check float ball forbuoyancy.g.Check spray nozzles for proper distribution.h.Check surface for scale, sludge or debris and clean if necessary.i.Check access door gaskets and replace, if necessary.j.Check the condition of the cooling tower fill. If it is clogged or deteriorated, replace it with Factory Authorized Replacement Fill.2.Inspection of Casing.a.While the unit is still drained, thoroughly inspect the unit casing.Clean and touch-up any areas showing signs of deterioration.For galvanized steel construction units, any damaged areashould be cleaned to bare metal and refinished with zinc-richcompound (ZRC). This is also the time when any casing jointleaks can be easily repaired.b.Remove any deposits that have built up and were not clearedby flushing the basin. T ouch up the area beneath deposits asrequired.3.Fill the Cold Water Basin with Fresh Water to theOverflow level.a.At initial start-up or before restart-up where the basin wascompletely drained; the initial biocide treatment should beapplied at this time (see Water Treatment in section N).b.Following a shut-down period,where the basin was notcompletely drained: It is recommended that an initial shocktreatment of appropriate biocides be administered at restart-upto eliminate accumulated biological contaminants.4.Fill Basin with Water and Check FloatValve Level.After the unit has been in operation under load for several days, the operating water level should be checked. Check the Operating and Maintenance Manual to determine the proper operating water level.5.Adjust Belt Tension of Fan Motors.Proper belt tension is determined by pressing against a single belt midway between sheaves, which should deflect the belt between 1/4” and 3/8 with moderate pressure. To adjust belts, loosenlocknut on the motor base and rotate the exterior nut asnecessary. Re-tighten locknut and recheck tension.6.Lubricate Bearings.a.Sleeve Bearings:Use the BAC oil that was shipped with the unit.During the first week of operation, refill each bearing cupseveral times to saturate the felt wick in the bearing cartridge.DO NOT USE OILS CONTAINING DETERGENTS FORLUBRICATION.b.Ball Bearings:Purge bearings with new grease.c.Fan Motors/Pumps(If applicable): Lubrication should be inaccordance with motor manufacturer’s recommendations.Suggestions for WinterizingYour Evaporative Cooling Equipment1.Provision must be made to protect the water in the basin fromfreezing when the unit is idle. This can be accomplished by using aremote sump installed in a heated space or installing steam/hot watercoils or electric immersion heaters in the tower basin.2.All outdoor water lines, including the make-up water line to theunit and drain lines from the unit should be traced with heatercable and insulated.3.During operation, frequent visual inspections of the unit mustbe performed regularly to:a.Insure all operating controls are properly set and functioningnormally.b.Insure the method of freeze prevention is effective.c.Discover any icing conditions before they develop to the point wherethe unit is damaged or system performance is impaired.4. A regular preventive maintenance program must be establishedand carried out despite adverse weather conditions. Itemscovered should include:a.Regular lubrication of moving parts.b.Regular checking of the make-up value and cleaning of strainers toprevent high water levels in basin.c.Regular checking and cleaning of hot water distribution system toassure uniform flow over unit.Coil Protection for Closed Circuit Cooling Towers1.Charge the coil with ethylene or propylene glycol to prevent the system fluid from freezing. The percentage of ethylene glycolshould be determined based upon the conditions in your area.2.If no ethylene glycol is used, adequate* flow through the coil mustbe maintained so that the temperature of the circulating fluid isnever less than 45°F.3.During light load periods, artificial heat should be applieddirectly to the circulating fluid.4. A vacuum breaker or air vent should be installed at the high pointof the system and an adequately sized drain should be installedat the low point to permit emergency drainage of the coil.5.All outdoor water lines and the spray pump body should betraced with heating cable and insulated.*See appropriate product information for details.We would like to emphasize again the importance of frequent, regular visual inspection of the units while in operation during the winter months. Early detection of a potential cold weather problem can often result in a simple, inexpensive remedy now, rather than a major repair and inconvenience later.PROPER MAINTENANCE— Proper winterizing, Spring start-up procedures, and scheduled periodic maintenance will prolong the life of the equipment, and ensure the trouble-free performance for which the unit was designed. Replace the cover and close the bottom drainvalve(s).11. Start the system pump.12. Slightly open the inlet valve, allowing the housingto slowly fill with fluid.13. If the unit is equipped with a manual air vent valve,leave the valve cracked open until fluid flows from the opening; then close quickly. If equipped with an automatic air eliminator, the unit is filled when the eliminator stops flowing air.14. When the vessel is filled with fluid, fully open theinlet valve and then SLOWLY open the outlet valve.15. After changing cartridges circulate flow throughvessel for at least 3 minutes. Return fuel to stor-age. Use millipores to check for fibers and also check hose end strainers. 阀门专业术语及英文注解

阀门行业术语强度性能阀门的强度性能是指阀门承受介质压力的能力。

阀门是承受内压的机械产品,因而必须具有足够的强度和刚度,以保证长期使用而不发生破裂或产生变形。

密封性能阀门的密封性能是指阀门各密封部位阻止介质泄漏的能力,它是阀门最重要的技术性能指标。

阀门的密封部位有三处:启闭件与阀座两密封面间的接触处;填料与阀杆和填料函的配和处;阀体与阀盖的连接处。

其中前一处的泄漏叫做内漏,也就是通常所说的关不严,它将影响阀门截断介质的能力。

对于截断阀类来说,内漏是不允许的。

后两处的泄漏叫做外漏,即介质从阀内泄漏到阀外。

外漏会造成物料损失,污染环境,严重时还会造成事故。

对于易燃易爆、有毒或有放射的介质,外漏更是不能允许的,因而阀门必须具有可靠的密封性能。

流动介质介质流过阀门后会产生压力损失(既阀门前后的压力差),也就是阀门对介质的流动有一定的阻力,介质为克服阀门的阻力就要消耗一定的能量。

从节约能源上考虑,设计和制造阀门时,要尽可能降低阀门对流动介质的阻力。

启闭力和启闭力矩启闭力和启闭力矩是指阀门开启或关闭所必须施加的作用力或力矩。

关闭阀门时,需要使启闭件与发座两密封面间形成一定的密封比压,同时还要克服阀杆与填料之间、阀杆与螺母的螺纹之间、阀杆端部支承处及其他磨擦部位的摩擦力,因而必须施加一定的关闭力和关闭力矩,阀门在启闭过程中,所需要的启闭力和启闭力矩是变化的,其最大值是在关闭的最终瞬时或开启的最初瞬时。

设计和制造阀门时应力求降低其关闭力和关闭力矩。

启闭速度启闭速度是用阀门完成一次开启或关闭动作所需的时间来表示。

一般对阀门的启闭速度无严格要求,但有些工况对启闭速度有特殊要求,如有的要求迅速开启或关闭,以防发生事故,有的要求缓慢关闭,以防产生水击等,这在选用阀门类型时应加以考虑。

动作灵敏度和可靠性这是指阀门对于介质参数变化,做出相应反应的敏感程度。

对于节流阀、减压阀、调节阀等用来调节介质参数的阀门以及安全阀、疏水阀等具有特定功能的阀门来说,其功能灵敏度与可靠性是十分重要的技术性能指标。
