本单元的教学内容与学生的实际生活息息相关,因而本课时的教学内容对学生来说不难理解。这个单元在三年级学习过家庭成员的基础上主要围绕职业展开话题,重点是使学生掌握一些常见职业的英语表达,并就此展开相关讨论。并在此基础之上培养学生热爱劳动、尊重他人劳动的情感。本课内容是本单元的基础。因此,在教学过程中,教师应尽量运用直观教学手段,注意新旧知识的衔接并努力做到单词教学与句型操练相结合,以利于学生发展语言技能,提高实际运用语言的能力。另外,本单元的重点句型:What does your father/mother do?对学生来说要掌握并不是难点,难点应该是综合运用各种已学过的句型讨论父母的职业并进行交流。难点还是应该放在主语是第三人称单数的一般现在时的动词的形式上,帮助学生适当感知,加深理解,熟练运用。

《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》(以下简称《课标》)在课程实施中,明确提出要加强单元教学的整体性。
教师要深入解读和分析单元内各语篇及相关教学资源,并结合学生的认知逻辑和生活经验,对单元内容进行必要的整合或重组,建立单元内各语篇内容之间及语篇育人功能之间的联系,形成具有整合性、关联性、发展性的单元育人蓝图。
因此,教师要在深度解读单元内容的基础上,围绕单元主题意义,确立单元整体教学目标,正确把握单元内各板块间的逻辑关联,统筹安排各个课时的教学内容,合理设计教学活动,引导学生在学习过程中逐步建构对单元主题的认知。

一、分析单元主题,建构整合框架本单元的主题属于“人与自我”范畴中的“职业启蒙,职业精神”子主题。
Story time 板块是会话型语篇,主要内容是苏海(Su Hai )和迈克(Mike )谈论各自父母的工作情况。
Grammar time 板块呈现一般现在时特殊疑问句第二人称和第三人称单数的形式及其回答。
Fun time 板块是一个“翻牌问答”游戏,帮助学生操练询问职业的主要句式。
Sound time 板块通过情境呈现字母y 在单词中的读音。
Culture time 板块介绍“警察”和“消防员”两个词在英国英语和美国英语中的不同表达。
单元整体教学是落实核心素养的重要路径之一。
单元整体教学视角下的多板块整合教学,需要教师分析单元各板块内容,探究单元主题意义,架构单元主题内容框架,整体构建单元目标,逐步推进各教学环节的实施。

【cop的来历】
cop一词由copper而来,就是“铜”的意思, 因为警察的徽章都是铜制的,所以在俚语中 就能用cop来表示警察。
