使学生熟练掌握“认物”的表达法；学习交通工具的名词；学会运用指示代词this和that；学习一般疑问句的及肯定与否定答语；学习不定冠词a和an的用法；

教学步骤
Step1 Revision
教师准备几样前课学过的一些物品，用句型: What’s this (in English)? It’s a pencil. Is this a book? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.提问及回答。

让学生进行复习。

Step 2 Presentation
教师可以准备一些实物或图片，再用句型：Is this a cake? Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t.进行问答练习，教授新单词：banana, pear, car, bike, jeep, bus。

熟练掌握“认物”的表达方式、交通工具的名称。

问答的方式教师可以自便，可采取多种形式如：教师----一个学生；教师----- 部分学生；教师---- 全体学生；一个学生---- 一个学生；部分学生-----部分学生等形式来进行操练。

教师此刻应该把图片或实物放在教室的后面及远处，教授不定代词that 的用法，采用句型：That’s a chair. What’s that in English? It’s a ruler. Is that a car? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.进行教学。

当学生巩固之后，再出示an eraser, an apple, an orange, an egg 进行不定冠词an 的教学。

要让学生自己感悟到：a和an的区别：a 放在以辅音音素开头的词前；an 放在以元音音素（不一定是元音字母）开头的词前，并注意比较以下用法：a book, an old book; an orange, a good orange; an apple, a big apple; a car, an English car
Step 3 Practice
让学生自由练习，但要用不同的单词，根据实际情况进行操练，达到熟练运用的程度。

Step 4 Presentation
Listen, read, and say
Look at the pictures, listen to the tape and repeat.
学生跟读完磁带之后，教师应对：a Chinese car, an English, a Japanese car 进行讲解：其中的Chinese, English, Japanese 是表示国籍的形容词，它们在句中修饰名词car 又如: She is a Chinese teacher. 她是一位中文教师.
This is a Japanese taxi. 这是一辆日本出租车.
Letter “ Ii ”
通过两组单词归纳了元音字母Ii , 在重读开、闭音节中的读音，使学生初步体会重读开、闭音节及单词的拼读规则。

获得发音和拼读的初步技能。

应向学生讲明：音标/i/ 是单元音，在发音时，唇形和舌位不发生变化。

音标/ai/ 为双元音，在发音时由一个元音向另一个元音滑动，唇形和舌位都发生相应的变化。

Step5 Practice
Play the game
1）Ask the students to read the dialogue ( Part 3 )
2）Call out a student (A) to the front. He/She faces the front. Another student (B) stands behind, and holds up a picture or an object.
The class asks: “ What’s that in English?
A: Is it a bus/car?
Class: No, it isn’t. etc.
Until the student guesses what it is. Then choose another student and start again.

Learn by heart the dialogues and words
