3.1 Warm-up
1.Greeting
T: Good morning, boys and girls!
Ss: Good morning, Miss/Mister!
2.Review
T: Let’s review the words we learned in last class. Please look at the screen and read it after me.
(板书单词:yummy,disgusting,noisy,quiet,over there)
T: Do you remember what we learned in the last class?
Ss: We learned some adjectives.
T: Great! Do you know what we can use adjectives to do?
Ss: We can use adjectives to describe things.
T: That’s right. Toda y, we will learn how to use adjectives to describe things better.
3.2 Presentation
1.New words
T: Now, let’s learn some new words. Please repeat after me.
(板书单词:obey,rule,stadium,dangerous)
2.Grammar
T: Look at these pictures and tell me what you can see.
(板书:Do not run. Keep off the grass.)
T: What do these sentences mean?
Ss: They are rules. We should obey them.
T: So, what do we have to do?
Ss: We have to obey the rules.
T: Right. We should obey the rules. What are the rules in our school?
Ss: We should keep quiet in the classroom. We should walk in the corridors.
T: That’s right. We should obey the rules in our school. Do you know what these sentences are called?
Ss: They are called imperative sentences.
T: Great! And we use it to give orders or advice.
3.Dialogue
T: Now, let’s listen to a dialogue.
(播放录音,并跟读)
(板书: Do not use phones in the cinema. Keep the cinema clean.)
T: What rules should they obey?
Ss: They should not use phones in the cinema and they should keep the cinema clean.
T: That’s right. So, w e should obey the rules in different places.
3.3 Practice

T: Now, I will divide you into small groups. Please discuss the rules in different places, and then show your ideas to the class.
2.Game
T: Let’s play a game. I will say a rule, and then you have to figure out which place it belongs to.

1.Role play
T: Now, let’s role play a dialogue. You can use the sentences we learned.
2.Writing
T: Please write down the rules in your school and in your home.
3.5 Summary
1.T: Let’s review what we learned today. Can you tell me what we learned?
Ss: We learned new words and how to use adjectives to describe things better. We also learned imperative sentences and rules in different places.
2.Homework
T: Homework for today is to write a short passage and describe the rules in your home.
