一、教学内容简介
本单元的主要内容是巩固并扩展学生关于过去时和时间状语的理解。

在本单元中,学生将学习如何描述过去发生的事情,并了解一些常用的时间状语。

二、教学目标
1.能够听、说、读、写动词的过去式。

2.能够正确理解一些常用的时间状语。

3.能够使用正确的时间状语来描述过去发生的事情。

三、教学重难点
1.动词的过去式。

2.常用的时间状语。

四、教学过程
A. Warm-up(10 minutes)
1.Greeting and check attendance.
2.Review the past tense of some verbs: be, eat, drink, play, etc.
B. Presentation(20 minutes)
1.Show students some pictures of different rooms in a house and ask them to name the rooms.
2.Introduce some time adverbs: yesterday, last night, last week, etc.
3.Ask students to read the sentences and match them with the correct room in the house.
C. Practice(30 minutes)
1.Have students work in pairs and take turns to describe what they did yesterday using the past tense of verbs.
2.Circulate and monitor, provide feedback and correction where necessary.
3.Ask several pairs to share their conversations with the class.
D. Production(20 minutes)
1.Give students a short story about a boy who was at home yesterday.
2.Ask students to read the story and then retell it to a partner using their own words.
3.Have several students retell the story to the class.
E. Extension(20 minutes)
1.Have students work in pairs and create a short dialogue using past tense verbs about something they did yesterday.
2.Ask several pairs to share their dialogues with the class.
F. Consolidation(10 minutes)
1.Recap what students have learned in this lesson.
2.Assign homework: ask students to write a short paragraph about what they did yesterday using past tense verbs and time adverbs.
五、教学评估
1.Observe stud ents’ participation and interaction during pair work and group work.
2.Check students’ understanding of past tense and time adverbs through their conversations and written work.
3.Provide feedback and correction where necessary.
