What We Should and Shouldn't Do in School
School is such an important place for us kids. It's where we go to learn new things every day and have lots of fun with our friends. But school can also be kind of confusing sometimes with all the rules we have to follow. Some things are okay to do, while other things are not okay at all. Let me explain what I think we should and shouldn't do while we're at school.
One of the most important things we should do at school is listen to our teachers. They're a lot smarter than us and they know the best ways for us to learn. When our teacher is talking, we need to pay close attention, participate by raising our hand, and follow all their instructions carefully. Teachers work really hard to help us understand new concepts, so we owe it to them to be good listeners.
Another thing we absolutely should do at school is treat others with kindness and respect. This means being friendly and polite to our classmates, never bullying or making fun of others,
sharing toys and supplies, and including everyone at recess so no one feels left out. A little kindness can go a very long way in making school a happier, more positive environment for everyone.
We should also always try our best and never give up, even when our schoolwork gets difficult. Learning new things is hardly ever easy, but if we stay determined and keep working hard, we'll start understanding it eventually. Our teachers and parents will be so proud of us for persevering instead of just quitting.
Turning in our homework on time is another really important thing we should do. When teachers assign homework, it's to reinforce what we're learning in class and make sure we don't forget it. Doing homework responsibly shows we're serious students who care about our education.
Now let me share some of the things we shouldn't do at school under any circumstances. First, we should never be disruptive during lessons or purposely distract our classmates from learning. This means no talking, passing notes, making silly noises, throwing things, or goofing off when the teacher is talking. It's just plain rude and keeps everyone else from being able to concentrate.
We also shouldn't cheat or copy someone else's work, whether it's on a test, homework, or any assignment. That's basically stealing someone else's ideas and claiming them as our own, which is wrong. If we don't understand something, we need to ask the teacher to explain it again or get extra help. Cheating is never the right solution.
We definitely shouldn't argue with, talk back to, or be disrespectful toward our teachers and the other school staff members like the principal, custodians, cafeteria workers, and office ladies. They're all authorities at our school who deserve our full cooperation and politeness. Getting into confrontations with them will only land us in big trouble.
Fighting, roughhousing, and intentionally trying to hurt others is another big no-no. The school should always feel like a safe, caring place where we don't need to worry about violence or getting injured. Using our hands, feet, or any object to harm someone else is completely unacceptable behavior that won't be tolerated.
Finally, we shouldn't damage or deface any school property like breaking equipment, writing on desks or walls, messing up textbooks, or tearing things apart. Our school works hard to provide us with nice facilities, supplies, and learning materials.
It's our duty as students to take care of those things, not wreck them through carelessness or on purpose.
Those are the main dos and don'ts that I think we kids need to follow each day at school. If we make an effort to do all the good things and avoid the bad things, it'll make for a much more positive, productive learning environment for all. School will be a lot more enjoyable when everyone is focused, respectful, and doing the right thing. I know it's not always easy, but it's super important that we try our very best. Our education is just too valuable to waste by misbehaving.

What We Should and Shouldn't Do at School
School is such an important place for kids like me. It's where we learn new things every day, make friends, and grow up to become amazing adults someday. But school can also be tough sometimes, with all the rules we have to follow and expectations to meet. That's why it's really important we know the right things to do and the wrong things to avoid doing at school.
Let's start with the things we SHOULD do at school. Number one is pay attention and work hard in class. Our teachers are there to help us learn, so we have to listen carefully when they're
talking, follow instructions, and do our best on all our schoolwork and assignments. Raising our hand when we have a question and actively participating is also a really good thing to do.
Another huge thing we should do at school is treat everyone with kindness and respect. That means being nice to our classmates, never bullying or making fun of others, and listening when someone else is speaking without interrupting them. We're all part of the school community, so we have to look out for each other. Using good manners by saying "please" and "thank you" is really important too.
Playing fair and following the rules at recess and during games is something else we absolutely need to do. Nobody likes a cheater! We should include everyone who wants to play and never argue or fight over things. Getting along and compromising when we disagree shows good sportsmanship.
Doing our homework and studying hard for tests is also really crucial. School is our job as kids, so we have to take it seriously and not slack off. Taking good notes, staying organized, and putting in 100% effort will help us ace our classes.
Now let's talk about some of the top things we SHOULDN'T do at school under any circumstances. Number one is bullying,
whether it's physical bullying by hitting or shoving someone, or emotional bullying by teasing, spreading rumors, or leaving people out on purpose. Bullying makes victims feel scared, alone, and sad - no one deserves to feel that way just for being who they are. It's never okay.
We also shouldn't cheat on tests, homework, or any assignments by copying someone else's work or letting our friends copy from us. Cheating is lying, and it's dishonest AND unfair. Why should we get good grades we didn't actually earn? It's way better to study hard and do our own best work.
Disrespecting teachers or other school staff members like the principal, custodians, or cafeteria workers is another total no-no. Sure, we might get frustrated with rules sometimes, but it's never okay to be rude, talk back rudely, or cause disruptions in class. These people are in charge for a reason - they're the adults keeping us safe, and we need to show them respect.
We definitely shouldn't bring anything dangerous to school like weapons, matches, lighters, or illegal substances. Using those could get someone seriously hurt accidentally. Things like toys that look like real guns are also a huge no because they're so easy to mistake for the real thing and cause panic.
Fighting with classmates by shoving, hitting, or kicking is completely unacceptable too. If we're mad at someone, we need to use our words instead of our fists to work things out calmly. Losing our temper and getting violent will just land us in big trouble or hurt someone else. No one wants that!
Finally, vandalizing or damaging school property like graffiti on walls, breaking equipment, or messing up books is something we better not do. Our school works hard to provide all sorts of things that help us learn, so we need to take good care of everything and be responsible. If we break rules like this, we'll probably get suspended from school for a while as a consequence, and no one wants that!
I know following all these rules and expectations at school can feel really hard sometimes when we're just kids. But our teachers, families, and the whole community only want what's best for us. Doing the right things and avoiding the wrong behaviors at school will help create a safe, respectful, and positive environment where we can all learn and thrive. We've got this!

What We Should and Shouldn't Do at School
School is a place where we go to learn new things every day. It's where we make friends, play at recess, and grow into better people. But school also has rules that we need to follow so that everyone can learn and have fun in a safe environment. Here are some things I think we should and shouldn't do at school.
Things We Should Do At School:
Pay Attention in Class: One of the most important things we should do at school is pay attention when our teachers are talking. They are trying to teach us new things, and if we don't listen, we won't learn anything. It's important to sit up straight, keep our eyes on the teacher, and not talk or make noise when they are speaking.
Raise Our Hands: If we have a question or want to share something, we should always raise our hands and wait to be called on. It's rude to just shout out or interrupt the teacher or other students. By raising our hands, we show respect and make sure everyone has a chance to speak.
Do Our Homework: Homework might not be the most fun thing in the world, but it's important to do it. It helps us practice what we learned in class and make sure we understand it. If we don't do our homework, we might fall behind and have a harder time in school.
Be Kind to Others: School is a place where we meet lots of different people, and it's important to be kind to everyone. We should never bully, tease, or make fun of other students. Instead, we should try to include everyone in games and activities, and be friendly and respectful to everyone we meet.
Follow the Rules: Every school has rules that we need to follow, like not running in the hallways, not fighting or using bad language, and not bringing toys or games from home. These rules are there to keep us safe and make sure everyone can learn and have fun.
Things We Shouldn't Do At School:
Cheat or Copy: Cheating or copying someone else's work is never okay. It's dishonest, and it doesn't help us learn anything. If we don't understand something, we should ask our teacher for help instead of cheating.
Bully or Tease Others: Bullying or teasing other students is never acceptable. It can really hurt people's feelings and make them feel sad or scared. We should always treat others with kindness and respect, no matter what.
Vandalize or Damage School Property: Our school is a special place that belongs to all of us, and we shouldn't damage
or vandalize it in any way. That means no writing on desks or walls, no breaking or damaging school supplies or equipment, and no littering.
Talk Back to Teachers: Our teachers are trying to help us learn and grow, and we should always listen to them and follow their instructions. Talking back, arguing, or being disrespectful to teachers is not okay.
Miss School Without a Good Reason: Going to school every day is really important for our education. We shouldn't miss school unless we are really sick or have a family emergency. Skipping school just because we don't feel like going is not a good idea.
School is a wonderful place where we can learn, grow, and make friends. If we all follow the rules, pay attention, and treat each other with kindness and respect, we can make sure that everyone has a great time at school and learns as much as possible.。
