This book is o n the desk. 然后把书再放到书包里说:This book is in my bag. 这时再多换几个名词练习几遍。
老师不用说一个汉字,只做示范,用动作、表情就可。
2、利用构词法知识讲解词义①利用同根词讲解词义。
如use-useful-useless,教师可用英语讲:“ useful”comes from“use”.It means of“use” “useless” comes form“use” ,too.It means of“no use”,or“notuseful”.②利用分析单词的前缀和后缀的方法讲解词义。
如教retell, worker时,教师可说:“ Retell ”comes f rom“ tell” . “Re” means again. “Retell” means to tell again. “Worker”comes from “work” . a person who worksin a factory is a worker.③利用分析合成词的方法讲解词义。

post office英语

post office英语POST OFFICEIntroductionThe post office is an essential service that is responsible for the collection, sorting, and delivery of mail and parcels to individuals and businesses. It plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and commerce by enabling the exchange of written correspondence and packages. In this document, we will explore the functionality, services, and importance of the post office, particularly in an English-speaking context.History of the Post OfficeThe origins of the post office can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Rome, and China. However, the modern concept of a postal system emerged in the 17th century. In England, the establishment of the General Post Office in 1660 paved the way for a standardized postal service. Over time, postal services expanded worldwide, with each country developing its own postal system.Postal Services in the English-speaking WorldThe English-speaking world has a well-developed and efficient postal system. In the United Kingdom, the Royal Mail is the national postal service responsible for delivering mail and providing related services. Similarly, the United States Postal Service (USPS) serves as the primary postal service in the United States. These services offer a range of services including letter and parcel delivery, registered mail, express delivery, and international shipping.Functions and OperationsThe post office serves various functions to ensure the smooth operation of mail delivery. First and foremost, it acts as a collection point where individuals can drop off their letters and parcels for mailing. Additionally, the post office functions as a sorting center. Upon collection, mail items are sorted based on the address and destination to ensure accurate delivery.Another critical function of the post office is providing a secure and accountable system for sending valuable orsensitive items. Registered mail allows senders to track their mail items and obtain proof of delivery. This service is particularly useful for important documents, legal papers, or valuable items. Moreover, the post office acts as a central hub for international mail. It collaborates with postal services from different countries to facilitate the shipping and delivery of international mail and packages. Customs declarations and proper documentation are filed to ensure compliance with international regulations.Services Provided by the Post OfficeThe post office offers a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of individuals and businesses. The most common service is regular mail delivery, where letters and packages are delivered to residential and business addresses. Typically, there are different classes of mail, such as first-class, second-class, and bulk mail, which determine the speed and cost of delivery. In addition to regular mail, many post offices provide express delivery services for urgent or time-sensitive items. Theseservices guarantee faster delivery times and may include options for overnight or same-day delivery.Furthermore, the post office offers additional services such as money orders, postal banking, and bill payment facilities. Money orders provide a secure alternative to sending cash in the mail, while postal banking allows customers to access basic banking services at selected post offices. Bill payment facilities enable customers to conveniently settle their utility bills, credit card payments, and other financial obligations. The Importance of the Post OfficeThe post office plays a vital role in society for several reasons. Firstly, it enables communication by allowing people to send letters, cards, and packages to loved ones, friends, and business associates across the country and even around the world. This service is especially significant in connecting individuals who are physically separated due to distance or other circumstances.Secondly, the post office is crucial for businesses, facilitating the movement of goods and documents. Many companies depend on the postal service for their day-to-day operations, including sending invoices, receiving payments, and shippingproducts to customers. Without a reliable postal system, businesses may face significant challenges in conducting their operations efficiently and effectively.ConclusionIn conclusion, the post office plays a vital role in the English-speaking world by providing essential postal services. It encompasses various functions, including collection, sorting, and delivery of mail and packages. Moreover, the post office offers a range of services to cater to the diverse needs of individuals and businesses. Its contribution to communication, commerce, and societal connectivity cannot be overstated.。
