On the second day afternoon, there was another knock on the door. It was a girl with short blonde hair named Nancy. “My mother told me to send you this cake and these two eggs. Thanks for your eggs.” she said with a big smile. Bob asked Nancy to come in and played with him. They had fun and soon became good friends.
“I’m glad your mother needed two eggs,” said Bob. Nancy laughed, and said, “She didn’t really need the eggs. She just wants to make friends with your mother!” Then Bob laughed, too.

Meeting a famous person
My favorite pop star came to the City Center last weekend. I didn’t have enough money to buy a ticket(门票) to see him, so I decided to wait at the back of the City Center and try to speak to him when he arrived.
Several thousand other fans had the same idea! Some people got to the City Center very early in the morning. I couldn’t get there until after s chool, and by the time I arrived, there were too many people.
I went around to the front of the City Center. There was no one there. Everyone believed(相信) the pop star would come to the back of the center. The back door is the one that famous people us ually use, so it’s where all the fans wait.
I had an idea. I used my cell phone to call the hotel where the pop star was staying. I spoke to his manager(经理). “I am calling from the City Center,”I said. “It will be better if you come to the front of the center. There will be fewer(更少的) people. The crowd is at the back.”
“OK.” His manager said.
When the pop star arrived, I was one of only a few people waiting at the front of the center. I talked to him and he gave me his autograph.
