LiShui County is the source of the hundred-li(50 kilometers)-long Qinhuai River. There are stories over every hill and in every village in the Town of Baima. It is here that the Ruyi Cultural & Artistic Center ,Baima Town ,Nanjing is located.
The scenic area was built in 2010 with the investment from Mr. Zhou Hetong, a British Chinese. Taking the shape of a lucky Ruyi(in China,it is an S-shaped ornamental Sceptre made of jade,with a head in the shape of a glossy ganoderma or cloud, and a slightly curved stem, which signifies that everything goes as one wishes), the scenic area covers an area of over a hundred mu (abont 7 hectares ), consisting of the Zhouyuan Garden and the Cultural & Artistic Exhibition Center .
The Zhouyuan Garden is a complex of pseudoclassic architectural buildings with the style of ancient palaces and a royal air . In its six exhibition halls including the Lion & Dragon Hall are stored the collec-tions of over one hundred years by 5 generations of the master’s family .It is a combination of Chinese antique furniture of various kinds .There are amazing religious murals , ancient beds, tree-root carvings ,tea soup containers , jade carvings ,and bronze or silver buddha statues exhibited in the rooms of the Cultural & Artistic Exhibition Center .And very shocking stone carved buddha statues are enshrined and worshipped in the outdoor Buddhist Way , the Thousand-buddha Corridor and the Stone Carving Group.
This is a rare personal collection museum , where there are the rosewood ded king covering an area of 30 meters and the desk king made of single-piece wood from a tree with the age of more than 3000 years . An inkstone , shaped like a dragon and a phoenix , and weighing 6.5 tons , is on show . In addition , there are tea soup containers made of rare Chinese yew More than 4,000 stone buddha statues of various sizes and over 2,000 square meters of large-scaled exquisite hand-painted murals are also exhibited here….
