英语作文和朋友的相同点和不同点
My Friends and Me
Friends are really important to me. I have a few really good friends that I spend a lot of time with. Even though we are friends, we aren't exactly the same though. We have some things that make us similar, but we also have a bunch of differences too. Let me tell you about a few of my closest friends and how we are alike and different.
My best friend is Tommy. He lives just down the street from me, which is really convenient. We've known each other since we were babies because our moms are best friends too. Tommy and I like a lot of the same things, which is probably why we get along so well. We both really like sports, especially basketball and football. During recess, we always choose each other first for our teams. Tommy is really good at dribbling the basketball. I'm not as good as him at that, but I can shoot better.
Another thing Tommy and I have in common is that we both want to be professional athletes when we grow up. He wants to play in the NBA and I want to play pro football. We even both like the same basketball team - the Chicago Bulls. Whenever they have a game on TV, we beg our parents to let us watch it. We
know all the players' names and numbers. Our favorite is Zach Lavine because he can jump super high.
Even though Tommy and I have a lot in common, we're different in some ways too. He is more of a morning person than I am. He wakes up pretty early and is always full of energy in the morning. I'm the opposite - I hate mornings! I'm definitely more of a night owl. I stay up way later than Tommy does at night. Another difference is that Tommy is a picky eater, while I'll eat pretty much anything. He doesn't like any vegetables at all! I'll eat veggies though, as long as they have ranch dressing on them.
Anna is another one of my closest friends. She lives a couple blocks away from me and Tommy. Anna and I became friends in 1st grade when she moved to our town. We hit it off right away because we have some of the same interests and personalities. Like me, Anna really loves art class. We are always excited for the art projects we get to do. Anna is an amazing artist - she's so creative and good at drawing and painting. I'm not quite as talented, but I still enjoy it a lot.
Another way that Anna and I are alike is that we are both really talkative. We can chat for hours about anything and everything. Sometimes our parents have to tell us to be quiet
because we get so loud when we're together! We also have the same taste in TV shows and movies. Our favorite show is the animated one called The Owl House. We know every single episode by heart. Whenever there's a new episode, we get so excited to watch it together. We even have Owl House t-shirts to match!
Despite having a lot of similarities, Anna and I are different in some key ways too. Anna is a total bookworm - she loves reading more than anything. She finishes entire novels in just a couple days. I'm just not that into reading. I'll read if I have to for school, but I definitely prefer watching shows and movies. Anna also gets way better grades than me in every subject, especially math. No matter how hard I try, math is just my worst subject. Anna is a math whiz though. I'm always asking her for help with my math homework.
The last friend I'll tell you about is Daniel. He actually just moved to my town at the beginning of this school year. Even though we haven't been friends for that long, we clicked really quickly. I think one of the main reasons is that Daniel and I have such similar senses of humor and personalities. We are both considered the "class clowns" because we are always joking around and making people laugh. We can riff off each other's
jokes for a long time. Sometimes we get in trouble with our teachers for goofing off too much!
Another big similarity Daniel and I have is that we both love video games. We'll come over to each other's houses all the time and play video games for hours. Our favorite games are the Super Smash Bros. series. We have intense battles to see who can beat who. We're pretty evenly matched though - we'll win some and lose some. Daniel is a little better at shooter games than me though.
While Daniel and I have a lot of shared interests and humor, we differ in a couple key areas. He is crazy about science and loves doing experiments. I've never really been that interested in science - I find it kind of boring honestly. Also, Daniel plays on the school baseball team and is a great athlete. I'm just terrible at baseball and most sports in general. I've got no hand-eye coordination whatsoever!
So those are some of my closest friends and the ways we are alike and different. Even though we share a lot of interests and personalities, we each have our own unique traits too. That's what makes our friendships fun and interesting though! We can bond over the similarities but also expose each other to new
things with our differences. I'm just glad I have such great friends to spend time with.。
