三、群学导引
step1:导入
老师说:I know from last class that you have a lot of problems. (老师用自己创设的情景单词导入 choice stay up late complete spare doubt strict 并进行板书)Then ,what can we do to feel better if we have any problems. 这里学生只要能说出写信给别人就可以了,老师可以借机导入 offer suggestions。

对于书后练习B中有的单词进行弥散式导入,也就是在遇到该单词的时候就让学生去猜。

Step2 呈现
1. 老师说:I think writing letters is a good way. So, today I will show you two letters. First,
please read Millie’s letter to Sigmund. And answer the following questions.
1) What Millie’s problem is?
2) What she wants Sigmund to do?
学生略读给出答案
1. 老师说:I have some sentences here about Millie. But, some of them are wrong. Can you
read Millie’s letter again and do True or False?
学生跳读给出答案,可以个学生读一遍,另外一个学生报答案。

对于正确的答案老师可适当引导出更多信息点,也可以引导同学们猜一些单词。

来完成书后B 部分。

Millie 文章中生词多,如果采用问题方式来完成细节回答,在单词没有完全处理的情况下,学生困难很大;在对错选择中,如果是生词造成的错选,就放着一会再解决

(3)学生讨论用 why not, why don’t you和perhaps 来提建议。

※ why not / why don’t you 后跟动词原形,也是提出建议的两种方式,表示“为什么不……”, 两者可以互换。

※perhaps 是提出建议的另一种方式,表示“或许,可能,也许”。

2、帮助学生学会使用预测的方法快速了解文章的概要。

二、自学助思
1、学生自行准备一份报纸或者杂志,自己预先读一读喜欢的文章。

2、解释predicting的含义及用处,引出title和heading,利用报纸或杂志上有大标题和小标题的文章解释title和heading的意思。

三、群学导引
1、Lead-in : Free talk T: Do you read newspapers and magazines in your free time ? How do you get information from them ? Encourage the Ss give out their own ideas.
2. T writes predicting (预测)on the Blackboard, s/Ss give their opinions.
3. Presentation and practice
(1) Ss finish the exercises in Part A on page 45 and then check the answers.
(2) Encourage Ss to ask questions about the articles to predict the meaning of the article.
(3) Encourage the Ss to finish part B

1、Groups work: 教师事先准备好相关报纸、杂志或者旅游指南等,让学生学会如何更好地预测文章大意。
