教材分析
This is the first lesson in this module. The listening material is information about heroes. It’s a good text to help the students improve their listening strategies, such as getting information from the listening material.

Step I. Warm-up
(I) Introduction
T introduces T’s hero.
T: My hero is Yao Ming. He was born on September 12, 1980 in China. He is 2.26 meters. He was a Chinese professional basketball player. Now, he retires. He works hard so he is my hero.
(II) Discussion
T: Do you have your hero? Who is your hero? Why? What do you learn from him (her)?
(III) lead in
T: Boys and girls, do you know Deng Yaping? Look at the picture of her. Can you tell me something about her? Is she a real hero in China? Ask some students to answer the questions.
