一、教学内容和地位
go for it七年级英语(下) ，Section A 是第五单元的第一课时，本节课呈现的语言是“询问和陈述原因”也是本单元的核心部分。

二、教学目标
（一）语言知识目标
1.掌握下列单词
有关动物的名词：zoo、animal、tiger、elephant、koala 、dolphin、panda、lion 、penguin 、giraffe
2.有关品质的形容词：cute 、smart、interesting 、fun
3.其他词类：kind of
4.下列表达法
5.掌握下列句型
（1）let’s see the pandas first.
（2）why do you want to see the pandas?
（3）because they are cute
（4）why does she like the koalas?
（5）because they are kind of interesting.使学生熟练谈论自己喜爱的动物并给出理由。

（二）语言技能目标
1. 使学生熟练谈论自己喜爱的动物并给出理由。

2. 使学生学谈论自己喜爱的其他东西并给出理由。

（三）情感目标
1.通过学习要培养学生自觉保护动物的意识。

（四）教学重点难点
1.重点
a.掌握动物单词的表达法，及谈论自己最喜欢的动物的表达法。

b.掌握动物特点的形容词，并能谈论喜欢某一种动物的原因。

2.难点
a.表达动物的的词义和读音。

b.如何用所学句型进行综合运用。

三．重点句型
Why do you want to see the pandas?

四．教学步骤：
Step 1: warning-up（创设情境，导入新课）
1.播放一段动物的视频，了解动物的可爱 .
2.展示本课的学习目标。

step 2: New words（问题引领，自主学习）
1) present the new words by showing the map of zoo and pictures of animals.
2) practice the new words by matching the words with the animals.(通过匹配练习,巩固已学的动物名称)
3) then check the answers.
Step3 ：Visit the zoo.
T:Let’ visit the zoo.What animals do you want to see first?
A: Let’s see the pandas.
B: Why do you want to see them?
A: Because they are interesting. (引出本节课需要掌握的一些形容词及目标语言)
Step 4:Talk about your favorite animals with some adjectives.（互助交流，深入探究）
使用目标语言进行小组活动，学生写出自己喜欢的动物以及不喜欢的动物，并且说出原因，完成导学练第三题。

Step 5：Play guessing games
给出一些有关动物的描述，让同学们猜猜是什么动物，可抢答，给答对的小组加分。

Step 6: summary : a chant（拓展总结，巩固提升）
