Everybody has hobbies. Do you like collecting stamps? Are you interested in listening to music? Do you enjoy playing basketball? These are all hobbies. Peter’s hobby is collecting toy cars. Th ere is a toy shop near Peter’s home.
Peter: Bob, there’s a new type of toy car in the shop. I’m going to buy one.
Bob: Do you like toy cars?

My grandpa lives on a farm. He has some interesting hobbies. Do you want to know something about him?
Peter: Is this your grandpa?
Yang Ming: Yes. He enjoys farming.
Peter: Really? Is that his hobby?
Yang Ming: Yes. He enjoys planting flowers and growing vegetables. He also likes keeping animals.
Peter: What animals does he keep?
Yang Ming: He keeps chickens, ducks and some geese. My grandpa also enjoys fishing.
Peter: Is he good at fishing?
Yang Ming: No. Sometimes he goes fishing for the whole day but catches nothing.
Peter: Nothing? Isn’t that funny? Ha, ha….

Bob’s hobby is painting. He often makes interesting things by painting. Now he wants to show us how to make leaf paintings.
Do you know leaf paintings? I’ll show you how to make them:
1. First, collect some leaves. Then, get a piece of paper.
2. Put a leaf on the paper. And then trace the shape of the leaf.
3. Do the same with the other leaves.
4. When you finish the drawings, you can paint them in different colours.
5. Now you can make your own leaf paintings!

1. Get some paints and paper. 取些颜料和纸。

2. Draw a house on the white paper. 在白纸上画一个房子。

3. Paint the house. 给房子上色。

5. Glue it onto the yellow paper. 把它粘在黄色的纸上。

6. Look! We have a nice picture. 看！我们有一副漂亮的画了。
