This could be the perfect gift for the partner, who embarrasses you on the dance floor.Smart socks, which can teach to dance, may be the answer for anyone with two left feet.
The socks have been developed as a running tool to help runners improve their skills. Thanks to the socks, users can accurately record not only how far and fast they run butalso how well.It means the user maximizes their performance, and reduces damage tobody and prevents hurt. The hi-tech socks are made of special fibers that watch themovements of your feet. They look, feel and can be washed like normal clothes.
Sensors(传感器)record each movement and send it by an ankle transmitter (脚踝发射器)to a smart phone. Then a “virtual coach” application shows the information and cantell the user what they are doing wrong, and help to improve skill
in any task with feet.
The socks should be useful to athletes and weekend joggers."People think running isso easy and of course everybody can do it but not necessarily safely and well,"Dr DavideVigano said.A recent study showed that between 60 and 80 percent of runners got hurt peryear. This is pretty much more than any other human activity.Researchers say the technology can also be developed to teach people how to dance, play sports such as golf,or even to help to teach women to walk better in high heels.
Mr.Vigano said,“People could all benefit from the idea.We have had interest from allsorts of sports, like skiing, football, cycling and golf.Anything where you have to use yourfeet can use it.It could even be put in high heels to help women walk in them safely.”

Papa was a ranger. He worked with horses. He always wore clean clothes with a hateven when he worked. His hat was always the same kind ofa cowboy hat—large black hatof heavy wool.He wore his hat full and high.I think he wanted to look taller than he reallywas.

Organic food, grown without artificial chemicals,is increasingly popular nowadays.Consumers(消费者)have been willing to pay up to twice as much for organic goods. However,a study led by researchers at Stanford University says that organic productsaren't necessarily more nutritious(有营养的),and they're no less likely to suffer fromdisease-causing bacteria, either.
The latest results suggest that buyers may be wasting their money,"We did not findstrong evidence that organic food is more nutritious or healthier,"says Dr.CrystalSmith-Spangler from Stanford.
For their new study,Smith-Spangler and her colleagues did a review of two kinds ofresearch, including 17 studiesthat compared health results between consumers of organicagainst traditional food products, and 223 studies that analyzed the
nutritional content ofthe foods, including key vitamins, minerals and fats.
While the researchers found little difference in nutritional content, they did find thatorganic fruit and vegetables were 20% less likely to have chemicals remaining on thesurfaces.Neither organic nor traditional foods showed levels of chemicals high enough togo beyond food safety standards. And both organic and traditional meats, such as chickenand pork, were equally likely to be harmed by bacteria at very low rates. The researchersdid find that organic milk and chicken contained higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, ahealthy fat also found infish that can reduce the risk of heart disease. However, thesenutritional differenceswere very small.
Organic food is produced with fewer chemicals and more natural-growing practices, but that doesn't always translate into a more nutritious or healthier product.Experts statethat whether you buy organic or not, finding the freshest foods available may have thebiggest effect on taste.
