Ever since I was a little kid, I've always been fascinated by the stars in the night sky. My Dream of Becoming an Astronaut
Ever since I was a tiny kid, I've dreamed of traveling to outer space and becoming an astronaut. I can't even remember when it started - I think I was born wanting to explore the mysteries of the cosmos!

My Dream of Becoming an Astronaut
Ever since I was a little kid, I've had one big dream - to become an astronaut and travel to outer space! I became fascinated with space after my parents took me to the science museum when I was 6 years old. We went to the planetarium and I was just amazed watching the movie about the planets, moons, stars, and galaxies on the huge domed ceiling. I couldn't believe how incredibly vast the universe is, with billions of stars and planets out there waiting to be explored. That's when I decided that when I grow up, I want to be one of the
brave astronauts who gets to leave Earth and journey into the great unknown of space.
In school, my favorite subjects are science and math because those are the most important things you need to learn to become an astronaut. I work really hard on all my astronomy projects and I even joined the school's rocket club. We build and launch model rockets, which is awesome practice for designing real rockets that could blast off into space someday. I really hope NASA sees my skills with rockets and will want to hire me as an engineer when I'm older!
I also do my best in math class because astronauts have to be great at calculations for navigating spacecraft and figuring out complex problems during missions. You have to understand physics, geometry, algebra, trigonometry...pretty much every type of higher level math. With the lower gravity, you'd be able to leap and bound huge distances with each stride. On the moon, I could jump so high and hang there, suspended in the air for a
long time before coming back down. How fun would that be?! I'd love to conduct experiments and gather samples of moon rocks and soil to bring back for scientists to study on Earth.
But the moon is just the starting point - my biggest dream is to travel even farther out into deep space and become one of the first humans to set foot on Mars. With its rusty red soil, canyon landscapes, and ice caps, Mars is like another world just waiting to be explored. I'd love to pilot the rover vehicles driving around looking for signs of past life, or help construct the first human settlement there. Being among the first people living and working on another planet would be the ultimate frontier adventure!
Sometimes I look at how far humanity has already come in exploring space, like sending robots to study other planets and even the first probes that have now traveled beyond our solar system into the space between stars. It makes me incredibly excited to think about where space travel could go next - maybe one day astronauts will journey to the moons of Jupiter or Saturn, land on nearby exoplanets, or even attempt to travel faster than light speed to reach other galaxies!
