Qusetions: 1.Do you think it is a form of language? 2.Where can we see it and when do we use it? 3.What does each emoticon stand for? 4.What other emoticons do you use?
Braille is the system of six raised dots created in 1821 by Louis Braille.It’s the only way through hich the blind can learn to read and write.
Question:Who is this kind of language invented for?
Ask the students to discuss the following questions. Do you recongize all the languages on the cards? Which other languages do you want to learn, English, Japanese ,Russion or French? Why?

• In order to make eveyone work in class, divide the class into four groups to discuss the following questions to prepare for the text which we’ll learn tomorrow.
Stand for = represent sth.;be in favor of ; tolerate e.g What does USA stand for? e.g The teacher always stands for hardworking. e.g She says she can’t stand for his hot temple.

Ask some students to act out some other sign language. Then show the students some more sign languages : give two more examples
