摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear device capable of reducing wear of a tooth surface even in a harsh usage environment. The present invention is a gear device including at least a pair of gears that mesh with each other and a lubricating oil that is interposed between the tooth surfaces of the gears that are in sliding contact with each other. It is preferable that at least one of the tooth surfaces has a texture consisting of groove-shaped recesses extending in the tooth length direction, and the lubricating oil contains an additive component such as phosphorus (P). The texture consists of, for example, grinding marks along the tooth length direction. The tooth surface is surfacehardened, and is preferably composed of, for example, a carburized and hardened layer, and the Vickers hardness of the outermost layer is preferably 600 HV or more and the effective hardened layer depth is 0.6 mm or more. The lubricating oil may contain, for example, 150 to 1500 ppm of P in terms of mass ratio to the whole. The gear device is used in, for example, a speed reducer, a transmission, a drive switching device, a transmission, and the like. [Selection diagram] Fig. 2
