1.在句子The snow kept falling. 中,keep后接作宾语,意为“不断地做某事”。

keep 还可以构成“keep+宾语+宾语补足语”结构,充当宾语补足语的词有:(1),如keep me waiting;(2)过去分词,如keep the work done;(3),如keep us warm;(4)副词,如keep them out; (5)介词短语,如keep them out of the room。

2.在句子I could hear the wind blowing.中,hear是感官动词,在本句中构成“hear+宾语+宾语补足语”结构,充当的词有:(1)作宾补,如hear me singing;(2)作宾补,如hear the song sung;(3)作宾补,如hear her cry。

●I nearly fell over. 我差点跌倒。

辨析:nearly与almost
两者都为副词,意为“几乎,将近”,但用法不同。

1.两者都可用来修饰不定代词、形容词、副词、动词、介词短语等,此时两者常可换用。

例如:
He can play nearly/almost every musical instrument. 他几乎能演奏每一件乐器。

2.almost可用于any以及no, none, nobody, nothing, never等否定副词之前,但nearly一般不这样用。

例如:
Almost nothing can stop me from achieving my dream. 几乎没有事情可以阻止我实现我的梦想。

3.nearly前可用very, pretty, not等词修饰,但almost之前不能用这些词修饰。

例如:
The house is pretty nearly new. 这房子几乎是全新的。
