Person: walks into the room and sees the rabbit sitting on the couch Oh, there you are Fluffy! I've been looking
all over for you.
Rabbit: looks up and tilts head Hmm? Oh, hello there.
I've just been relaxing here, enjoying the sunshine.
Person: laughs I can see that. You always find the best spots to nap, don't you? sits down next to the rabbit So, how has your day been so far?
Rabbit: lets out a content sigh Ah, it's been a wonderful day. I started my morning with a nice big breakfast, as usual. Then I did some light exercise by hopping around the living room for a bit. After that, I settled in here on the couch to read the newspaper.
Person: The newspaper, huh? looks around I don't see
any newspapers here.
Rabbit: chuckles Oh, I was just kidding about that part. You know I can't actually read. I was simply enjoying the peace and quiet, daydreaming a bit.
Person: smiles I see. Well, I'm glad you're having a relaxing day. You certainly deserve it after all the mischief you've been up to lately.
Rabbit: looks slightly offended Mischief? I have no
idea what you're talking about. I'm a perfectly well-behaved rabbit, thank you very much.
Person: raises eyebrow Oh really? What about that time you chewed through the electrical cords behind the TV? Or when you dug up all the plants in the garden?
Rabbit: shifts uncomfortably Ah, yes, well...those were just minor incidents. I was simply exploring my
surroundings, that's all.
Person: laughs Exploring, huh? I think you were just trying to keep yourself entertained.
Rabbit: huffs Entertainment is a perfectly valid reason for my actions. You humans have such boring lives, always stuck inside staring at screens. I need to find ways to spice things up around here.
Person: shakes head You know, one of these days you're going to get yourself into real trouble. I worry about you, Fluffy.
Rabbit: rolls eyes Oh, please. You worry too much. I'm a resilient rabbit, I can take care of myself. pauses Although, I suppose I wouldn't mind a few more treats every now and then.
Person: chuckles Ah, there's the real reason. I should have known food was involved. Alright, I'll see what I can do about that. reaches over to pet the rabbit But please,
try to stay out of trouble, okay? I don't know what I'd do
if something happened to you.
Rabbit: leans into the petting Hmm, I suppose I can try. looks up at the person You know, you're not so bad yourself. For a human, that is.
Person: smiles Why, thank you. I try my best. pauses Hey, speaking of which, have you noticed
anything...different about me lately?
Rabbit: tilts head Different? sniffs the air around the person Hmm, now that you mention it, there is a slight change in your scent. eyes widen Wait, don't tell me...are you...?
Person: nods That's right, Fluffy. I'm pregnant.
Rabbit: lets out an excited squeak Pregnant?! hops up and down on the couch Oh, this is wonderful news! stops and looks at the person seriously But, you do realize what this means, don't you?
Person: chuckles Yes, I know. It means I'm going to need your help to get ready for the baby.
Rabbit: puffs out chest Of course!
