今天，我看了一本书，它的名字叫做《老人与海》，这本书是美国的海明威写的，这本书的主人公叫做桑提阿果爷爷，就让我给你们讲讲这个故事吧！
小说的素材于真正的故事：桑提阿果爷爷独自在海上打鱼，他已经有好久没钓到一条鱼了，有一天，一只大鱼咬住了他的鱼钩，桑提阿果爷爷想把它拉上来，可拉不动，那条鱼带着桑提阿果爷爷一直游啊游，大鱼游得精疲力尽了，桑提阿果爷爷把大鱼的鱼头和上半身绑在小船边上。
但是桑提阿果爷爷在回去的路上遇到了鲨鱼，老人使
出了浑身力气和鲨鱼搏斗，鲨鱼把能吃到的鱼肉都吃了，回到家时，大鱼只剩下不到一半，却还有800磅左右。
这本书让我受益匪浅。
桑提阿果爷爷不被任何困难所压服，尽自己最大的努力与生活中的磨难做不屈不挠的斗争。
他说：“一个人并不是生来就要给打败的，你尽可以消灭他，却不能打败他。
”这种永不言败的硬骨头精神深深地刻在了我的心上，有也要像桑提阿果爷爷那样，永不言败。
我今天读了《老人与海》这本书，它讲的故事令我非常感动。
老人在八十一天没有捕到鱼之后，他终于捕到了一只剑鱼。
可是，在他回来的路上，他遇到了一只鲨鱼，他与鲨鱼搏斗一场，最后，老人失去了他捕到的剑鱼，他又空手而归了。
老人永不言败的精神感动了我，在他与鲨鱼搏斗时说：“你可以杀死一个人，但你永远不可以打败他”。
老人宁死不屈的精神让我为之震撼，我又想起了司马迁，他也没放弃自己的生命，终于写成了《史记》；我又想起了张海迪，她瘫痪在床，但还是用吉它歌唱自己的人生；我还想起贝多芬，他双目失明，双耳失聪，却写出了9部交响曲……
我终于明白自己平常生活中，无论遇到怎样的困难都不能放弃，要坚持，这样才能成功。
