Hi everyone! My name is Tom and I'm so excited to share with you all about my experience as a volunteer at the Chengdu Universiade when I was 18 years old. It was such an amazing and unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever.

I even got to be a translator for some of the athletes who didn't speak English. It was challenging but also so rewarding to help them communicate and feel comfortable in a foreign country.

First of all, let me tell you a little bit about the Chengdu Youth Games. It's a big sports event where young athletes from all over the world come to compete in various sports like
swimming, soccer, and track and field. There are also lots of fun activities and performances for everyone to enjoy.
As a volunteer, my job was to help out at the different venues, cheer for the athletes, and make sure everything was running smoothly. It was so much fun being a part of such a big event and seeing all the talented athletes in action.
One of my favorite parts of volunteering was getting to meet people from all over the world. I made friends with volunteers from Brazil, Australia, and even Japan! It was really cool to learn about different cultures and share our love for sports.
Another highlight for me was being able to watch some of the events up close. I got to see some incredible performances and even got to high-five some of the athletes as they crossed the finish line. It was such an adrenaline rush!
