亮点：本节课为阅读部分，用male and female first name来导入，通过图片让学生猜测male和female的意思，让学生了解male 和female两个生词，把课本上2a和2b部分整合，既能复习西方国家男女名字，又能练习学生的阅读能力。

不足：课文的默读掐准时间，题目设置应考虑学生的实际能力，适时应让学生有适当的讨论。

知识点的讲解不能扩充太复杂，要化难为简。

使用建议：由于本课为阅读课，让学生养成良好的阅读习惯，激发学生的阅读兴趣，培养学生通过阅读做题的技巧，所以一些方法的介绍是必不可少的。
