掩耳盗铃英文版故事
Title: The Case of the 捂住耳朵 Thieves
Once upon a time, there was a group of thieves who had been committing a string of robberies in the local area. Despite their best efforts, they had never been caught. This all changed one day, when they committed a particularly brazen crime, breaking into a wealthy family"s mansion and stealing a fortune in valuables.
As they made their escape, one of the thieves noticed a group of policemen rounding the corner. Thinking quickly, he decided to take off his hat and wave it frantically to attract their attention. The other thieves followed suit, each waving their hats and trying to look as innocent as possible.
The policemen, however, were not fooled. They knew immediately that there was something suspicious about the group of thieves, and they began to chase after them. The thieves, realizing their mistake, began to run as fast as they could, but it was no use. The policemen quickly caught up with them and arrested them all.
When they were brought to trial, the thieves tried to blame each other for the robbery, but it was clear that they had all committed the crime together. In the end, they were all found
guilty and sentenced to prison.
The moral of the story is that it is never a good idea to commit a crime, and it is always best to be honest and
law-abiding. By trying to 掩盖自己的罪行,这些盗贼犯了掩耳盗铃的愚蠢错误。
他们试图掩盖自己的罪行,但警察很快就识破了他们的计划,并将他们绳之以法。
