Chinese films also has a lot of films, such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon，Hero. These shaped heros all hold the same characteristics of great spirit, courage and keen insight. However, virtually, different heroic images of the films of Chinese and American embody the views on the diversified definitions of hero and two kinds of culture。

American movies show a unique attractive personality in all characters of hero. Owing to desire of freedom，which origins from western sense of liberal values,Ameracan stress individuals and personal values。

For example, in Iron Man , Tony Stark in front of all the members of congress with a victory gesture says “Because I’m your nuclear deterrent。

But I did you a big favour.I’ve successfully privatized world peace." So American heroes represent saviors，born in order to save the world, but they only do matters with their own will, not considering secular views。

Therefore, American hero is apt to individualism。

In addition，the hero of the American film has the following four characteristics。

To begin with，Ameracan heroes are ordinary people having common feelings。

They aiso would suffer from failure in love，as well as lose their temper，and sometimes even be embarrassed. No matter how hero he is，firstly, he is a person who keeps some shortcomings. As an old saying goes ”No man is perfect"。

From Iron Man,we can see that Tony Stark in the beginning of the movie admited that: ”I mean，let ‘s face it, I’m not the heronic type。

It is that because characteristics of the heroes are very close to ordinary people, which makes them more real.
Further more , hero in the bottom of American hearts should cherish both his spouse and friends。

This reflects the American damand of harmonious family. Tony Stark only love Pepper potts，a charming lady，even surrounded by all kinds of betiauful women. To his friends，he respects and
trusts them, even as his one friend ,Rhodey，misunderstand him that leads Rhodey to betraying him，howerver, eventually Tony Stark still forgive him.
What’s more，including heathy begin, American hero additionally carries forward characteristics of talents and confidence，so he is able to remain calm in any trap.There is no doubt that Tony Stark is rather gifted at machine. He is acknowledged by a halo of visionary，genius and patriot. At age four, he built his first circuit board；at age six，he created first engine; at seventeen，he graduated summa cum laude from MIT。

Of course, hero's absolute confidence comes from the belief of “God bless America”，as Iron Man has refered to “God bless iron man, God bless America”.
Finally ，super hero has a fighting spirit, and is not afraid of setbacks. The ability to struggle against failure is basic quality for hero。

It is a traditional culture in the United States that American people advocate this spirit。

The best interpretation is ”American dream”，adding to the Westward Movement, so they regard the fighting spirit as a valuable wealth in life.In Iron Man, Tony Stark mistakenly assumes that his girlfriend has been killed by the enemy, but at that moment he doesn't lose his heart until achieve the accomplishment the final victory。

Heroism Features in Chinese
Compare to American super hero ，Chinese hero is filled with lofty ideals , wisdom, perseverance and a strong sense of social responsibility。

Confucianism has a great influence to China，so this ideological system indirectly
affect on heroism,too。

Confucianism advocate piety, kindliness, loyalty ，tolerance so that a qualified hero must care about the world and its peoples . Therefore, Chinese hero is apt to collectivism.
Besides，the hero of the Chinese film has the following four characteristics.
Firstly,one feature presented in Chinese hero are their perfect personnality.They own respevtable conduct, moderate thoughts,fascinating appearance，skillful gongfu. It is so perfect that this hero image play a role of god without faults。

Naturally, this role is far from ordinary people。

Secondly,Chinese hero treats their friends as relatives .As a proverb gose"
A fence needs the support of three stakes; An able fellow needs the help of three other people ".A great deal of classics like The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Water Margin impact Chinese people's outlook of friendship from generation to generation，so many heroes help Wu Ming to chase only one opportunity to kill emperor of Qing Dynasty and completely devoted themselves in Hero。

Thirdly，the most apparent point for Chinese hero is the responsibility for nation. While individual interests and emotions conflict with the benefits of the nation，Chinese hero always rank nation first.In the film of Hero that shapes three typical Chinese heroes, like the hero Can Jian as an assassin who had prepared to kill the emperor of Qing Dynasty ,bur at last he chose to guard the enemy by sacrificing his own life for the country。

Fouthly，in Chinese movies, hero almost end in tragedy. As let the audience sigh with grief,three main characters of Hero unknown as Wu
Ming ,Bai Xue and Can Jian finally took the way of death。

Conclusion
Hero worship is a kind of common cultural psychology all over the world. To create national heroes and to keep heroism essence is the responsibility and goal of every culture. Heroism tends to be tne evaluation of social values. Different cultures rooted in people from various nations which easily make individuals judge the person as a hero in diffenrent perspectives. Ameracan and Chinese ,the two typies of distinctive culture on the heroism reflect international differences. As a resault，two cultures of chinese and Ameracan according to their respective value system produce their own heroes.
