Exaggeration
夸张是用放大或缩小的方式加强句子的力量，以此增
强感染力和激发读者的想象力。汉语中的“夸张”和 英语中的exaggeration基本对应。
1. Study it “I can drink up a river” is an example of exaggeration. Exaggeration is a figure of speech in which thing are described with an overstatement or an understatement.
2. Pair work: study the dialogue in the example and then compose similar dialogues based on the sentences given below. e.g. His heart sank into his boot. A: It is an overstatement. It means that he is very sad. B: Well. He is heart-broken. 1）He is not stingy. He just stands on one foot at a time, to save the other shoe.
