Remembering names is an important social skill. Here are some ways to master it.
________
When you hear a person's name, repeat it. Immediately say it to yourself several times without moving your lips. You could also repeat the name in a way that does not sound you are forced to. ________
You can let other people help you remember their names. After you've been introduced to someone, ask that person to spell the name and pronounce it correctly for you. Most people will be pleased by the effort you're making to learn their names.
________
To be honest to say that you can't remember someone's name can actually make people relaxed. Most of them will feel sympathy if you say, “I'm working to remember names better. Yours is right on the tip of my tongue. What is it again?”
________
Consider going early to meetings, parties and classes. Sometimes just a few people show up on time. That's fewer names for you to remember. And as more people arrive, you can hear them being introduced to others -- an automatic review for you.
________
When meeting a group of people, concentrate on remembering just two or three names. Free yourself from remembering every one. Few of the people in mass introductions expect you to remember their names. Another way is to limit yourself to learning just first names. Last names can come later.

If the teacher is called "killer" by the last grade, many students will give up choosing him, because this
kind of teacher will leave too much homework, too many exams and give too low grades. There is another thing after you select the subjects and teachers. How to buy textbooks makes each student feel hard. The textbooks in America are very expensive. Each one is about $30—50. In order to save money, many students buy some used textbooks, and some students usually borrow textbooks from the school library.
In class, discussing is very important. The teacher encourages you to ask questions or show your own opinions. They don't usually ask you to sit well. Instead they allow you to sit or stand
anywhere you like.

Do you clean your school desks every day? If not, then maybe it's about the time for you to get started. Keyboards, computer mice and telephone dials are infected (polluted)with lots of germs(细菌), according to scientists from the University of Arizona, the US.
The study suggests that office equipment should be regularly cleaned. “Desks are in fact germs' cafeterias(自助餐厅),” said Charles Garbage, a biologist who took part in the study. “They are breakfast bars, l unch tables and everything else.” The desks at your school are probably not different.
The scientists found that telephones in workplaces have almost 4,000 germs/cm2, keyboards 500 and computer mice around 250. The office as a whole contains 4, 750germs/cm2.
When some people catch a cold or flu, they leave germs on the surfaces(表面) they touch
during the day. Some flu germs can live on the surface for up to 72 hours, so the germs can easily move to other people. If you're ever wondered why everyone catches the germs when only one student has a cold, now you know the answer.
Experts in the US last month warned about the spread (传播) of the germs during flu seasons. They reminded Americans to cover their noses and mouths while sneezing, often wash their hands and clean their office desks.
Hand washing is the most important. Killing germs during hand washing is useful only if you clean carefully with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. You should pay close attention to cleaning your thumbs, fingertips and fingernails.

What can you do when someone hurts you? Most people may be angry or even fight with the one who hurts him or her. But it's not a good idea. The best way is to forgive him or her. Although it is not easy for us to forgive people who hurt us, it is possible. "Forgiveness makes people hopeful. And it is good for our health," says Fredric, Ph. D. the writer of the book called Forgive
for God.
But how can we forgive others?
First, think of something beautiful and try to get yourself happy.
Second, don't wait for others to say sorry to you. If some people hurt you, they won't say sorry to you. They may just want to hurt you or they just don't see things the same way.
Third, try to see things in others' shoes. You can write a letter to yourself from the offender's (冒犯者)point. That can make you understand others better and make yourself happier.
At last, don't forget to forgive yourself. For some people, forgiving themselves is the biggest challenge(挑战). And it also makes you more confident.
