Wanted: The Best Job Ever!
Hi there! My name is Alex and I'm a 6th grader at Riverdale Elementary School. I'm looking for the coolest, most awesome job in the whole wide world. Listen up because this is an incredible opportunity that you won't want to miss!
First off, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 12 years old and love playing video games, riding my bike, and hanging out with my friends. School is okay I guess, but it can be pretty boring a lot of the time. That's why I need an exciting new job to shake things up!
I have loads of great qualities that would make me the perfect employee. I'm really good at telling jokes and making people laugh. I can also burp the entire alphabet (it's harder than it sounds!). If you're looking for someone with unique talents, then I'm your guy.
Even though I'm just a kid, I'm super responsible. I always remember to feed my goldfish Swimmy and take out the trash on Tuesdays without my mom reminding me. I'm never late for school and I get my homework done on time (well, most of the time anyway). You can count on me to show up and give 100% effort every single day.
Another thing that makes me awesome is my ability to think outside the box. I come up with the craziest, most creative ideas ever. Like last summer, I started a lemonade stand but instead of just selling regular lemonade, I made varieties like blueberry blast, orangeade, and even hot chocolate lemonade! I'm not afraid to take risks and try new things.
I have very solid moral values that were instilled in me from a young age. I always tell the truth, no matter what. I never ever cheat or do anything dishonest. You can trust me to do the right thing. I'm also a fantastic friend who is caring, loyal, and keeps secrets safe. I've got your back!
In my free time, I volunteer with the elderly at a local nursing home. I keep the residents company, help them with activities, and just listen to their fascinating stories about what life was like a million years ago (jk, Grandpa Joe!). I'm great with people of all ages.
My family always says I'm hilarious and super entertaining. I can do lots of cool tricks like walking on my hands, jumping really high to dunk a basketball, and juggling pretty much anything. I'm a one-kid circus over here! Wherever I go, tons of fun and laughter is sure to follow.
I have big dreams and ambitions to be ultra successful one day. I'm thinking I could be a professional hockey player, video game designer, Nerf blaster weapon inventor, or maybe even President of the United States. This job will be amazing practice for my future career.
Now for some of the important details about the position I'm looking for. The hours need to be flexible so I can go to recess, gym class, and get chicken nuggets from the cafeteria for lunch (they're my favorite!). I get low blood sugar pretty easily so I'll need regular snack breaks too.
It's also really important that the job allows me to spend quality time with my awesome doggy Rufus. He's my best friend in the whole world and I don't want to be away from him too long. Maybe he could be my sidekick at work? That would be epic!
The job will need to be something super active that allows me to use my endless supplies of energy. Sitting at a desk all day
would be torture and I'd probably end up getting in trouble for doodling all over everything. As long as I'm moving around a lot, that shouldn't be an issue.
I have a higher than average gross factor, so the more disgusting or dangerous the job is, the better! Things like handling toxic waste, wrestling alligators, or being an animal pooper scooper don't bother me at all. I face my fears head on.
The most important requirement is that this has to be the funnest, most ridiculously awesome job ever. None of that boring, lame stuff grown-ups do. I need constant excitement, craziness, and adventure on a daily basis. A dull, ordinary job is my worst nightmare!
If you can provide an opportunity that awesome, here's what I'm willing to offer in return. Thanks to completing the 6th grade budgeting unit in math class, I've become an expert on managing money wisely. I always spend and save responsibly.
I'm an extremely hard worker with a strong appetite for success (and chicken nuggets, let's be real). I'll jump in with 100% effort and energy every day without complaining, procrastinating or slacking off. You'll never have to wonder if I'm actually working.
I'm a creative genius who can look at things from a new, fresh perspective. My crazy out-of-the-box ideas are sure to take your business to hilarious new levels of success and weirdness that could never be anticipated. After hiring me, you'll be scratching your head saying "How does this kid come up with this stuff?!"
In addition to all of my skills and talents, I'll also bring tons of passion and enthusiasm to any job. Thanks to my high levels of energy, my coworkers and I will be laughing and loving life every single day rather than walking around grumpy like some boring grown-ups.
So in conclusion, you'd basically be hiring the world's funniest, happiest, most energetic, honest, fearless, creative, responsible and hardest working kid for whatever crazy job
you've got on offer. Talk about the total package!
I really hope I've convinced you that I'm perfect for this unknown job. If not, then your loss! You'd be crazy not to hire someone as awesome as me. I'm available pretty much whenever thanks to summer vacation, so feel free to message me on Insta or TikTok with the deets.
Thanks for your time and hopefully I'll be getting that job offer soon! Alex, future CEO of Fun Inc., over and out!

Wanted: A New English Teacher!
Hi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a sixth grade student at Sunshine Elementary School. Our English teacher, Mrs. Wang, is going to have a baby soon so she has to stop teaching for a little while. That means our class needs to find a new English teacher to take her place temporarily. Since we students will be
the ones learning from this new teacher, I think we should be the ones to decide who gets hired!
Let me tell you a bit about what we're looking for in an English teacher at our school. First of all, you have to be really good at speaking English. Like, really really good. We can't have someone who doesn't know how to pronounce words properly or use the right grammar. My classmates and I work really hard on our English pronunciation and vocabulary, so we need a teacher who can model that correctly for us.
Speaking of vocabulary, we'd love it if our new teacher could help us learn lots of new English words and expressions. The more vocabulary we know, the better we can communicate in English. Maybe you could teach us some fun English slang, idioms, or phrases that kids our age actually use? That would be awesome!
It would also be great if our new English teacher could make the lessons fun and interesting. Learning from just a textbook all day is so boring. We really like it when our teachers use games, songs, role-plays or other activities to help us practice English in a way that doesn't feel like studying. Getting to act things out or have little competitions really helps the material stick in our brains.
Oh, and we absolutely LOVE when teachers show us fun English videos, movies or TV shows! As long as they aren't too babyish, we'll think you're the coolest teacher ever if you let us watch things in English class. It's a great way for us to get exposure to how English is really spoken.
In general, we really appreciate an English teacher who is lively, engaging and makes an effort to relate to sixth grade kids like us. Don't be too stern or strict - we respond way better to teachers who are patient, encouraging and add some humor or playfulness to their lessons. Getting to know our personalities and interests is a plus!
At the same time, we still need someone who can challenge us academically and make sure we're actually progressing with our English abilities. Having high expectations for us and pushing us to work hard is important. We may whine a bit, but we respect teachers who keep us on track and hold us accountable. Just don't be mean about it, okay?
It would also be awesome if our new English teacher could teach us some things about English-speaking countries and cultures. We're really curious to learn about the traditions, customs, food, music, history and lifestyles of places like the USA, UK, Canada or Australia. It makes the English language feel more
relevant and real to us when we understand the cultural context behind it.
Lastly, good classroom management skills are a must. We're a pretty energetic and rambunctious bunch, so you'll need to be able to keep us focused and under control. But please don't be a strict disciplinarian who yells or gives harsh punishments - that just makes us tune you out. A teacher with a calm, commanding presence who uses positive reinforcement is much more effective.
So in summary, our ideal English teacher would be:
An excellent English speaker with perfect pronunciation and grammar
Able to teach us lots of fun, practical vocabulary in authentic ways
Engaging and makes lessons interactive with games,
role-plays, videos etc.
Relatable and not too strict - has a good sense of humor
Academically challenging but patient and encouraging
Exposes us to English-speaking cultures and lifestyles
An effective classroom manager using positive discipline
If you think you've got what it takes, we'd love for you to apply to be our new sixth grade English teacher! Submit a video introducing yourself and telling us why you're the best candidate. We'll be the ones reviewing the videos and deciding who to hire. Thanks and we can't wait to meet you!
Your buddy,
Xiaoming

A Cool Job for Kids - An Awesome Recruitment Ad!
Hey there, friends! I've got something super exciting to share with you all today. You know how we've been learning English from the "Lyu Jiao Ban" textbooks in class? Well, it turns out that the people who make these books are looking for some new helpers – and they want kids just like us!
Can you imagine how cool it would be to work on creating textbooks that millions of students across China use to learn English? It's like being a part of a secret club, except this club is all about making learning fun and helping others understand a new language. How awesome is that?
The other day, our English teacher, Ms. Wang, showed us this really neat recruitment advertisement from the textbook company. It was all in English, of course, because they want to make sure we're up for the challenge. Let me see if I can remember how it went:
"Attention, young language enthusiasts! Are you passionate about English and eager to share your love for learning with others? The Lyu Jiao Ban English textbook series is seeking talented and creative students to join our team as Junior Consultants!"
Isn't that just the coolest thing ever? They're actually looking for kids like us to help them make the textbooks better!
The ad went on to describe what kind of tasks we might get to do as Junior Consultants. Get this – we could help come up with fun new dialogues and stories for the lessons, or suggest cool games and activities to make practicing English more enjoyable. Imagine if one of your ideas ended up in the next edition of the textbook – how amazing would that be?
But that's not all! The ad also mentioned that we could give feedback on the existing textbook content and let them know what we liked, what was confusing, or what we thought could be improved. They really want to hear from us students and make sure the books are as engaging and helpful as possible.
And you know what else caught my eye? The ad said that the Junior Consultants would get to participate in special online meetings and workshops to learn more about the textbook creation process. We'd get to meet the authors, editors, and designers behind the scenes and see how they bring these books to life. How incredibly fascinating is that?
But honestly, I think that's part of what makes this opportunity so exciting. We'd get to take on real responsibilities
and contribute to something meaningful, all while developing our English skills and learning valuable life lessons along the way.
I don't know about you, but I'm totally pumped just thinking about the possibility of being a Junior Consultant for the Lyu Jiao Ban textbook series. Can you imagine how proud our parents would be if we got selected? And think of all the cool stories
we'd have to share with our friends and classmates!
So, what do you say, my fellow English enthusiasts? Should we gather up our courage and submit our applications? Who knows, maybe our ideas and suggestions could end up shaping the way millions of students learn English in the future. How incredibly awesome would that be?
Let's put our heads together and come up with some brilliant ideas to wow the recruitment team. I'm already brainstorming fun dialogue scenarios and interactive activities that could make our English lessons even more engaging and memorable.
And hey, even if we don't get selected this time around, at least we'll have given it our best shot and learned something new in the process. That's what learning English is all about, right? Embracing challenges, stepping out of our comfort zones, and always striving to improve and grow.
So, what do you say, friends? Are you ready to embark on this exciting adventure with me? Let's show the Lyu Jiao Ban team what us kids are made of – we might just surprise them with our creativity, enthusiasm, and love for the English language!。
