My Birthday Party Invitation for Tom
Hi Tom! It's me, your best friend from school. I'm so excited because my birthday is coming up next month on April 15th and I really want you to come to my birthday party! It's going to be the best party ever and I'll be so sad if you can't make it.
First of all, my mom is letting me have the party at our house, which is awesome. We have a big backyard with lots of space to run around and play games. My dad is going to set up a bouncy castle! Can you believe that? A real life bouncy castle, just like the ones we see at the fair. I can't wait to jump up and down and do flips and get all tired out. You have to come so we can bounce together. It's going to be a blast!
And that's not even the best part. My mom is also hiring a magician to come and perform magic tricks! He's going to make things disappear and reappear, and pull rabbits out of his hat. Maybe he'll even ask me to be his volunteer assistant and let me go inside his magic box or something. How cool would that be?
You're really good at figuring out the secrets behind magic tricks, so you'll have to come and try to crack the code on this guy's illusions.
Of course, there's also going to be cake and ice cream. My mom is making me a huge triple chocolate cake with sprinkles and gummy bears on top. She's letting me pick out the ice cream flavors too - I'm thinking maybe cookie dough and mint chocolate chip. Those are my favorites! We can make crazy ice cream sundaes with all the toppings and eat until we feel sick. Well, maybe not too sick because then we wouldn't be able to do anything else fun.
Speaking of fun, we're going to play tons of awesome games at the party too. My parents are setting up a game area with musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, and even a piñata! I got to pick the piñata shape myself and I chose a dinosaur because you know how much I love anything to do with dinos. We'll take turns whacking it with a bat until it breaks open and rains down candy for everyone. Doesn't that sound like a
sugar-filled blast?
There will also be a present opening area where I can rip open all the gifts my friends and family give me. I wonder what kind of cool toys and games I'll get? Whatever they are, you and I
can play with them together at the party. My parents said I have to share, so you'll definitely get a turn with all my new stuff.
And we can't forget about the entertainment! My parents hired a performer to make balloon animals for everybody. They'll make dogs, giraffes, swords, whatever we want - all twisted up out of long balloons. I think I'll ask them to make me a dinosaur balloon because like I said, I just love anything dino. You'll probably want them to make you a balloon rocket ship or something, since you're obsessed with space. We can have a whole balloon animal menagerie by the end of the party!
Oh and one more thing - my mom is setting up an arts and crafts station too. We can make friendship bracelets, paint pictures, do Play-Doh sculpting, whatever crafty thing we're in the mood for that day. Maybe we can even make birthday cards or thank you notes to give to people at the end of the party. How thoughtful would that be?
So in summary Tom, it's going to be the most epic birthday party in the entire universe, with a bouncy castle, magic show, cake, ice cream, games, presents, balloon animals and crafts. You 100% positively have to be there. It wouldn't be anywhere near as fun without my absolute best friend to share it all with. I'm already counting down the days!

An Inviting Letter to My Best Friend Tom for My Birthday Party
Dear Tom,
How are you doing? I hope you are having a great time and having lots of fun! I'm writing to you because my birthday is coming up next month and I really really want you to come to my party. It's going to be the best party ever and I won't have as much fun without you there!
My birthday is on June 15th this year, which is a Saturday. The party will be at my house from 2pm to 6pm. We're going to have so many fun things to do! My mom is going to decorate the whole backyard with balloons and streamers in my favorite colors - blue and green. She's also going to put up a big bounce house that we can jump in! I'm so excited about that.
For food, we're going to have a hotdog and hamburger cookout with all my favorite toppings like ketchup, mustard, relish, and cheese. My mom makes the best burgers ever. She's also going to make my favorite kind of cake - a huge chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and candy sprinkles on top! I can't wait to blow out the candles and make a wish. I'm going to wish for a new bike, but you can't tell anyone because then it won't come true!
After we eat, we're going to play tons of fun games with prizes. My dad is going to set up a dunk tank where we can try to dunk him in the water. He's also going to have a double piñata for us to break open and see what candy falls out. I'm hoping I can get my favorite Skittles and Starburst! We'll play musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, and have a three-legged race too. The person who wins the most games is going to get a giant trophy and their picture taken.
The best part is that after the games, a magician is coming to do a whole magic show just for us! He can do all sorts of crazy tricks like making things disappear and float in the air. I've never seen a real magic show before so I'm really excited. At the very end, we're going to get to go up on stage with the magician and learn how to do a magic trick ourselves. How cool is that?
But Tom, the party won't be nearly as fun if you can't come. You're my very best friend in the whole world and I want you there more than anything! We've been best buddies since we were babies in pre-school together. We do everything together - play soccer, go to the park, and have sleepovers. You have to be at my party so we can make more fun memories! Please please please ask your mom if you can come. I'm going to be so so so sad if you can't make it.
I really hope you can come! Just let me know and I'll tell you anything else you need to know about the party. I can't wait to celebrate my birthday with my super best friend!

My Super Fun Birthday Party!
Hi Tom! It's me, your best friend [Your Name]. I'm writing to you because my birthday is coming up soon and I really, really, really want you to come to my party! It's going to be the funnest party ever and I won't have as much fun without you there.
My birthday is on [Day, Date] this year. Can you come over to my house at [Time] for the party? My mom is going to make my favorite dinner of [Favorite Food] for everyone. Then after we eat, we're going to play lots of fun games and do activities!
First, we're going to have a crazy silly dance party in my living room. My dad is going to put on all my favorite songs like [Song 1], [Song 2], and [Song 3]. We can jump around and do all the goofy dances we make up. Remember that hilarious dance we did at recess last week? We have to do that one!

It's so hard! I always get turned around and pin the tail on completely the wrong place. Whoever pins it closest to the right spot wins.
Then we'll play musical chairs, but with a twist! Instead of just walking around chairs, we have to [Silly Movement] like a [Animal/Character] the whole time. So it will be like walking like a penguin or crawling like a crab. I can't wait to see you trying to [Silly Movement] around the chairs!
After all the games, we're going to watch a movie together in our living room. I'm thinking we watch [Movie 1] or [Movie 2]. Or maybe you can bring over a movie you really want to watch? We can make a big pile of blankets and pillows on the floor to lay on. And eat lots of popcorn and candy too!
Then finally, if it's not too late, we can hang out in my backyard and lay on the grass to look at the stars. I'll show you all the constellations I know, like the Big Dipper and Orion. We can make shadow puppets on the fence too with the flashlight. My dad said he might even start a campfire in the firepit so we can make s'mores!
Doesn't my birthday party sound like so much fun? You definitely, absolutely, positively have to come! It won't be nearly as awesome without my bestie there. Please ask your mom if you can come and let me know as soon as possible. I'm counting down the days!
